The Regional Supply Chain Planner plays a crucial role in aligning the supply strategy with market demand to optimise product availability and achieve business objectives. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, the ability to adapt forecasts based on market dynamics, and a proactive approach to managing inventory. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate forecasting of sales quantities, managing and implementing strategies to maintain healthy inventory levels. The incumbent reports to the Head of Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Strategy Integration
- Understand and align with the supply strategy to effectively apply it to the specific product category for the specific country’s requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate market insights and business objectives into the demand planning process.
Sales and Demand Forecasting
- Estimate and adapt forecasted sales quantities for products throughout the year, considering factors such as historical sales data, market trends, and promotions.
- Conduct weekly reviews of forecast accuracy, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal product availability.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the precision of forecasting models.
Inventory and Stock Management
- Actively manage the demand planning process, ensuring adherence to stock norms and maintaining inventory levels that support business goals.
- Implement strategies and practices to minimise out of stock and excess inventory, optimising the balance between demand and supply and ensuring the efficient turnover of goods.
- Prepare monthly management meetings and business review decks for Sales & Operations Planning.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to manage and resolve stock-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in demand planning & forecasting or supply chain management, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.
- Proficient in use of Enterprise Resource Planning systems and Microsoft Office tools. SAP B1 preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Have good business acumen and stakeholder centricity.
