Procurement:
Source and identify suppliers for direct/indirect materials/services to expand the supplier base and meet new project/production needs..
Procurement:
- Source and identify suppliers for direct/indirect materials/services to expand the supplier base and meet new project/production needs.
- Obtain quotes from newly sourced suppliers to achieve competitive costing and continuous cost reduction.
- Lead periodic price negotiations with suppliers to ensure competitiveness in material/service costs.
- Conduct supplier qualification audits and parts qualification to ensure suppliers meet company requirements.
- Qualify suppliers for inclusion in the Approved Vendor List.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews to manage qualifications and updates on suppliers' capabilities.
- Maintain standard operating procedures for the Procurement department to ensure consistent workflow processes.
- Develop and negotiate favorable supply agreements with suppliers.
- Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to establish an appropriate supply chain model for assured supplies with minimal inventory holdings.
- Work with departments like Engineering/Warehouse to establish quality standards for supplied items and create the Quality plan
- Supervise and train junior staff to lead the team in accomplishing assigned duties.
- Undertake any other task or project assigned by management.
Purchasing:
- Develop a Purchasing strategy for various supply categories to ensure on-time order fulfillment with minimal inventory for direct purchases.
- Fulfill all indirect purchase needs based on user requirements.
- Periodically review the Purchasing strategy with Management and propose changes when market trends shift.
- Provide periodic alerts and updates to internal/external customers to promptly address any issues or delays.
- Work with principals/suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods to meet customer/company needs.
Warehousing:
- Manage the warehouse team to ensure timely receiving/issuance of raw materials.
- Oversee the warehouse team to fulfill order requirements for all customer shipments.
- Ensure overall inventory integrity of all goods in the warehouse.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of working experience and exposure in both mechanical and electrical customized parts and components sourcing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
