Job Overview:
As the Automotive Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our automotive service center. You will manage a team of skilled technicians and ensure the efficient and timely completion of vehicle repairs and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of automotive technicians and support staff.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, productivity, and professional growth.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss performance, goals, and ongoing training opportunities.
2. Operational Management:
- Plan and organize daily workflow to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure the availability of necessary tools, equipment, and resources for the workshop.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of automotive parts and supplies.
3. Quality Assurance:
- Maintain high standards of service quality and ensure that all repairs meet industry and company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of completed work to verify the accuracy and thoroughness of repairs.
4. Customer Service:
- Interact with customers to address inquiries, provide updates on service progress, and address any concerns.
- Strive to exceed customer expectations by delivering exceptional service.
5. Budget Management:
- Assist in the development and management of the workshop budget.
- Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and work to achieve financial targets.
6. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, advancements, and changes in regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automotive workshop management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, repairs, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in computer applications related to automotive diagnostics and management systems.
Education and Experience:
- Nitec/ Higher Nitec, Diploma or equivalent required
- At least 4 to 5 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
