Job Objective

• Provide Technical support to Ship Staff and assist in safe and cost-efficient operation of assigned vessels
• Ensure compliance with companies' strategic goals, compliance and environmental policies

Job Scope

• Manage all activities aimed at keeping managed and owned ships safe, environmentally friendly, efficient and fully operational while meeting Customers service requirements
• Maintain ships within statutory body requirements
• Operate vessels within budget constraints and providing an operating budget
• Implementation of the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management policies, procedures and instructions
• Assist in monitoring energy efficiency and environmental performance of the vessels
• Assist in ensuring global emission-related regulatory compliance of the vessels
• Engage with vessels and other stakeholders on daily performance reporting to ensure high data quality of the fleet
• Review vessel’s fleet weather against current passage and weather analyst’s guidance notes
• Perform a voyage analysis against the relevant charter party for that voyage
• Energy saving devices / project installations
• Energy saving devices performance monitoring
• Providing reliable and quality management analytical data using vessel performance software (i.e Bluetracker System, Podium)
• Manage the administration and maintenance content of the system. Ensure that the relevant vessel data is inputted timeously and accurate
• Assist in ensuring emission-related statutory and regulatory compliance of the fleet ie EEXI/EU MRV/IMO DCS/UK MRV(2023) / FUEL EU.
• Ensures ship requisitions are handled timely as per company procedures

Job Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent, or Chief Engineer’s qualification
• 2 years of sailing experience as Senior Officer, or 2 years of shore experience as a superintendent with a ship management/owning company
• Preferably experienced on geared bulk carriers
• Good knowledge of vessels’ technical requirements and voyage regulations
• Good project management & organisational skills
• Good negotiation skills
• Good people management skills and teamwork
• Fluency in English and use of computers

Responsibilities :

• Plan and coordinate resources for daily inbound / outbound warehouse operation
• Manage both the warehouse and shipping operation to ensure efficient and timely operation of
  the distribution
• Maintain customer service and safety work environment
• Ensure shelving storage management
• Manage inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, cycle counts,
  stock takes and audit of same to verify results
• Promote continuous improvement by adopting some Toyota Japanese production system
  concept such as Kaizen, Genchi Genbutsu and etc to develop and implement warehouse
  operation process/workflow to optimize efficiently
• Responsible for control of costs, budget and vendors including negotiate rates
• Monitor and analyze operation KPIs and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Recruit and train of warehouse and shipping personnel

Requirements :

[MUST]

• At least 3 years supervisory experience
• Willing to do hands on warehouse and shipping operations and customer service oriented
• Strong analytical ability and sensitive to numbers figures and time.
• Strong project and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to
  interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Power Point) for data analysis and reporting purposes
• Self-driven, highly motivated and possess initiative
