- Support in data analysis cases and projects (data extraction, collation and analysis using tools such as MS PowerBI, SQL, python, R etc.)

The Senior Associate - Supply Chain supports sales team in the daily operations of logistics function specifically in the area of PO acceptance and on time sales recognition. This will includes supporting on inventory management activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Liaise with 3PL on all logistic arrangement/ issue for incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure on time delivery. Issue sales orders and billings for Singapore consignment businesses
• Perform monthly stock balance reconciliation for consignment stock to Singapore distributor/ Ecommerce enabler. To monitor, coordinate and perform inventory-related transactions in ERP system.
• Process and follow up customer PO in APAC regions, including billing invoice, credit note and verify customer PO pricing, and highlight any discrepancy to sales. Follow up with finance of payment completion. 
• Maintain shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping history information to customer on request.
• Ensure all shipping documentation and authorities approvals are in order prior the shipment of products.
• Generate reports for internal management team and external customers, ie: inventory reports, accurate weekly sales reports, etc.
• Any other duties assigned by Management from time to time

• Experience in supply chain, inventory planning, distribution & operation management 
• Understand and familiar with export documentation and letter of credit payment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Words, Excel, Pivot table and Power Point).

Responsibilities:

Category Management / Strategic Sourcing

• Category strategy development: Developing and implementing strategic plans for various categories, aligning it with the NTU's overall goals and objectives. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities for growth, and setting performance targets.

• Supplier relationship management: Build strong and collaborative partnerships with suppliers to optimize value, reduce risks, and drive mutual success. This includes selecting and onboarding suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing performance, and fostering collaboration and innovation.

• Conduct market research and analysis to understand the dynamics of various categories, including pricing trends, supplier capabilities, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape. This information helps inform decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Collaborating with various internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of category strategies with broader organizational objectives. This includes analysis of spending, regular communication, coordination, and joint decision-making in development of overall sourcing strategy/category management plan.

• Performance measurement and optimization: Developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of various categories. This involves tracking metrics such as customer satisfaction, and supplier performance. Leveraging on the details to identifies areas for improvement and takes actions to optimize category performance.

• Continuous improvement and innovation. This includes seeking new ways to enhance product/service offerings, exploring alternative sourcing strategies, and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.

• Identify and mitigate risks across the entire procurement process.

• Execute procurement tender process including development and spearhead of tender roadmap to meet NTU deliverables.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma / Degree Equivalent Qualification; or Equivalent professional procurement experience with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite of products to perform analytical tasks and quantitative modelling, to present and support recommendations

• Functional Competencies Experience and sound knowledge in P2P process

Main Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and forecasting the supply and demand dynamics of the global iron ore and steel markets, as well as the key drivers and risks affecting them. 
• Providing timely and insightful analysis and commentary on the iron ore and steel market developments, trends and outlooks  
• Developing and maintaining quantitative models and databases to support the iron ore and steel market analysis and forecasting. 
• Collaborating with other analysts across different commodities and regions to ensure a consistent and integrated view of the commodity markets. 
• Contributing to the development and improvement of the research products, methodologies, and tools. 

Experience:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience research or trading, preferably in a commodity trading house, consultancy, or financial institution. 
• A strong understanding of the iron ore and steel market fundamentals, drivers, and dynamics, as well as their impact on the dry bulk market. 
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. 
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Other skills (Computer Skills, etc)

• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analysis tools.
• Skillful in Python. 

Languages:

• English (Fluent)
• Ability to read and write Mandarin would be an added advantage 

Academics:

•  Degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering or related field of study
