Required Experience and Qualifications:

1. Minimum NITEC in engineering discipline. Mechanical & Aerospace disciplines will be preferred
2. Past MRO or Aviation experience would be an advantage
3. Past experience with Engine Testing would be an advantage
4. Possess good communication skills
5. Energetic and willing to learn
6. Team player but also independent worker
7. Leadership skills is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to the Supply Chain team in areas such as Direct Materials Procurement, Inventory Control, Shipping Coordination, and Warehouse Operations.
• Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain to reduce costs in procurement, warehousing, and shipping, enhance operational efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the Central Purchasing Team to negotiate favorable commercial terms with suppliers and achieve cost savings.
• Work with the Distribution Manager to enhance adherence to shipping schedules and secure favorable shipping rates.
• Oversee the development and planning of key supply chain personnel competencies.
• Maintain 4PL control tower solutions and drive ongoing improvements in the shipping process with 4PL Solution Providers and internal customers to achieve cost-effective logistics solutions.
• Ensure departmental KPIs are established and monitored.
• Conduct risk analysis and promote Lean, 5S, and HSE initiatives.
• Implement HSE prevention programs within supply chain activities, ensuring team members are informed and actively contribute to HSE development, and that all actions taken support improvement objectives.
• Assist the Materials Controller in key supplier development efforts to enhance on-time delivery, quality, and cost reduction.
• Support the Materials Controller in the development and implementation of materials and outsourcing contracts, serving as the focal point for contract pricing to leverage economies of scale across the value stream.
• Oversee internal audit control on purchasing processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
• At least 5 years of supply chain experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team.

Job Description

This role is mainly account management of existing clients (70%), but reestablishing connections with past clients and business development is needed as well (30%). This role will work closely with inside sales and customer support to service clients. Japanese language ability is required to liaise with Japanese clients and to support the Japanese management in reporting to HQ.

• Construct a solid sales pipeline and follow through on plans to acquire new customers.
• Forecasting and setting sales targets to meet corporate objectives.
• Collaborate with teams to create unique selling points to attract and retain customers.
• Cultivate and maintain strategic customer relationships and networks.
• Review all submitted reports by lower rank staff to reward performance, prevent issues and resolve problems.
• Prepare quotations and cost management.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and vendors.
• Report to HQ Japanese Management on a regular basis.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Logistics or Freight Forwarding company dealing with overseas shipment.
• Japanese Speaking is required as this role reports to Japanese Management and there is need to communicate with local and Japanese counterparts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other operational software.
• Be respectful of deadlines and can work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
• Detail oriented / Flexible and logical thinker / Self-disciplined / Result oriented
