Engagement Managers are expected to work with Alton’s senior team members to help clients solve their most complex commercial, operational, and financial challenges. To do this, Engagement Managers lead teams of Associates and Senior Associates and take responsibility for the day-to-day execution of client engagements, encompassing analytical work, solution-crafting, and deliverable creation. Throughout your work with us, you will be working closely in tight-knit teams with Alton’s leaders to apply commercial expertise and rigorous analysis to solving real-world problems facing aviation industry players. You will take part in exciting projects and have a direct stake in helping Alton’s clients, while at the same time expand your own sector knowledge, consulting toolkit, management skills, and industry relationships.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams to conduct market research and perform both quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Engage with clients to gather, analyze, and interpret data in support of assessments
- Develop analytical and financial models
- Become expert on aviation industry issues across the full value chain
- Present results of studies and analyses, and draft report deliverables
- Support the professional development of associates and senior associates, and provide training
- Support the development of company intellectual property
- Support targeted business development efforts with new and existing clients
- Identify new business opportunities and offerings for the firm
- Perform other logistical, administrative, or other tasks, as directed by company management

Skills:

Educational Background:
For Engagement Managers a degree in a quantitative, problem solving, or critical reasoning discipline (e.g., business, finance, mathematics, engineering, statistics, etc.) from a top educational institution is preferred.
Work Experience:
Engagement managers should have at least 6-9 years of aviation/aerospace industry working experience and/or relevant consultancy work experience. Candidates will also be considered with a strong background from other industries/positions offering relevant transferable skills (e.g., investment banking, management consulting). Candidates must have experience managing analytical teams.
Travel:
Domestic and overseas travel may be required 25-50% on average, or more during certain periods.
