This role will lead the Supply Chain organisation to ensure strategic, customer services and operational imperatives of Singapore Plant are achieved. Lead & direct execution of all Singapore site supply chain activities, including order fulfillment (delivery & documentation creation), supply planning ( capacity, materials and inventory planning), logistics and transportation, 3PL warehousing and Salts Assembly management and Innovation, to exceed customer expectation at lowest cost, aligned to overall PGCS strategy. Ensures compliance with company values, principles, policies, procedures, applicable laws and industry standards. The role also delivers metrics and related activities within the SCM team to drive supply chain alignment with both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, Lead and Motivate the Singapore supply chain team
- Develop a Supply Planning strategy in support of achieving target customer service levels with a minimum investment in inventories;
- Establish and execute a best-in-class Supply and Inventory planning process and continuously improve techniques, method, and approach;
- Review, align and resolve Asia region inventory compliance, taking into consideration costs;
- Lead Order Fulfillment processes within Asia region;
- Establish and flawlessly execute processes to deliver the successful introduction of New Products.
- Lead the ongoing review of short to long term capacity and supply capability including AOP and Strat Plan input. Provide visibility of supply risks and opportunities into Asia plants management;
- Lead third party management activities
- Provide leadership in the development and execution of (Annual, Quarterly etc) Budgets and forecasts ensuring Singapore Plant cost targets are achieved and competitive situation is maintained.
- Drive a Productivity and improvement agenda in supply chain processes by identifying and removing non-added value steps and identifying and implementing service improvement initiatives.
- Senior Singapore Site Leadership role in creating Plant direction and culture
- Meet all internal & external compliance responsibilities.
- Customer Engagement: lead the management of 17 markets for the APAC and India region representing .33MMUSD as revenue, total market sales in ASU is 1 MM, plus the planning of Beverage base for the Gatorade business in the US and Canada markets, with a total revenue of 3.5MMUSD; support the planning, forecasting and order management for 309 kits (plus 50 innovations per year in average); manage market insights and intelligence to enhance customer engagement. In addition, as part of customer service activities this role needs to ensure regular S&OP calls are hold with customers and BU/MU/CU to provide prompt status updates and to discuss on any open issues
- Led face to face meetings with customers and BU/CU/MU to define strategy for the market and continuously work on strengthening and streamlining the processes and demand signals trough the extended supply chain.
- Support the innovation agenda for the region, in average 50+ innovations per year representing a 1.6% growth on a yearly basis for PEP. Ensuring a flawless execution of the projects meeting the timelines required by the markets.
- Be the escalation point of contact for supply chain topics impacting the market or the plant
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain/Operations or other relevant field of study
- Multi-market, multi-site supply chain with deep understanding of supply chain activities and business critical planning and ability to take a pragmatic practical approach.
- Proven ability to manage business complexity and change, and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent supervisory and communication skills and strong interpersonal skills coupled with collaborative approach, to get things done both up and across the organization
- Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization , ability to influence and align teams in a matrix and virtual environment
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills and an innovative approach to design and problem solving
- Willing and able to travel (approx. 20% of their time)
- Resilient, with flexible upbeat and positive attitude to act as strong role model for Asia Organisation and Global Supply Chain team
- Multi-cultural acumen and cross-cultural communications
- An understanding of PepsiCo manufacturing asset base and SAP is desirable
- Knowledge of Lean Six-Sigma concepts and methodologies
