About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Strategic Sourcing/ Supplier Relationship Manager for our client. In this role, you will oversee third-party risk processes and manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring a resilient and collaborative network. You will stay updated on market trends and technological advancements, contributing to strategic planning and ensuring a sustainable supply chain. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supplier strategies with business objectives and manage vendor risk, performance, and compliance. You will report to the Head of Department.
Job Description
- Develop and execute Strategic Sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, while managing relationships with key suppliers.
- Conduct market intelligence and analysis to inform decision-making, ensuring a resilient and sustainable supply chain.
- Lead business reviews with suppliers at C-suite level and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve purchasing efficiency and supplier management.
- Establish and maintain vendor performance standards and continuously improve vendor management programs.
- Oversee vendor onboarding, risk management processes, and ensure compliance with governance standards.
- Perform regular risk reviews and manage escalations related to vendor performance and contractual issues.
- Provide expert guidance on best practices for Vendor Management to internal teams and business partners.
- Maintain accurate vendor profiles and ensure timely updates for ongoing risk and performance monitoring.
- Responsible for any other ad hoc duties assigned.
Requirements
- Relevant Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, or third-party risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders, delivering results.
- Strong analytical skills in bid analysis, cost analysis, fair-value analysis, and scenario modelling.
- In-depth understanding of third-party risk management and corporate compliance.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in presenting updates and challenges.
- Ability to engage with multiple management levels.
- High level of integrity, dependability, and a strong sense of urgency.
- A desire to thrive in a hard-working, fast-paced and collaborative team.
