Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of E&I Technician located on Jurong Island, Singapore through 14 March 2024 at 11:59 p.m. (SGT).

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Carry out preventive maintenance of Electrical and Instrument equipment (Motor, Variable Speed Drive, Lighting, Switchgear etc.) and process instrumentation (Transmitters, Control Valves, On-Off Valves, Analyzers, Weighing System, Tank Gauging System etc.)

• Troubleshoot, Repair, Install, Calibrate and Commission Electrical and Instrument equipment

• Develop and review Job Safety Risk Analysis and Maintenance Procedures

• Document and maintain all field observations and activities

• Good knowledge on Instrument Analyzers and Sampling Systems will be a significant advantage

• Perform 12 hours day shift when required

• Able to perform night callout duty

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience in refinery, petrochemical or chemical industry

• Possess hands-on experience in handling Electrical, Instrument and Analyzer Systems & Equipment

• Strong analytical & trouble-shooting skills

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Knowledge on PLC will be an added advantage

• Able to work individually or with teams

• Highly safety conscious and follow company safety culture

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.

Selected candidate will work in Singapore under the local payroll system and benefits.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Leads the development of equipment and asset strategy in cross functional environment using reliability processes such as RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), etc.

• Leads reliability and integrity improvement programs such as ROI (Reliability Opportunity Identification) and Bad Actor in cross functional environment.

• Improve equipment performance through use of reliability tools such as RCA (Root Cause Analysis), etc.

• Leads or participates in complex equipment troubleshooting and cross/multi-functional problem-solving events.

• Contributes as a subject matter expert to determine the integrity and fitness of equipment for safe operation.

• Supports the development and implementation of capital projects and plant modifications.

• Develops maintenance procedures and conducts trainings to improve the competency of technicians.

Required Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related degree

• With at least 3 years of experience in refineries or petrol chemical industries in a total plant maintenance environment.

• Knowledgeable in codes and standards such as ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), API (Application Programming Interface), ISO (International Organization for Standardization), etc.

• Able to work well in a team and takes initiative in engaging cross functional teams in resolving plant issues.

• Possess good communication skills and drive.
