Resident Technical Officer (RTO) - M&E

Responsibilities:

• To provide quality and compliance supervision for the construction of Mechanical, Electrical, Sanitary and Plumbing works in accordance with the Project specifications, drawings,applicable and relevant Singapore standards/codes and Building Control Acts and Regulations
• As and when instructed by the Qualified Person (QP), the Amp Project Manager (PM), or Resident Engineer (RE) assist them to approve any valid overtime requisitions from the Contractor and to assist in the supervision of the works.
• To assist the QP and PM in all aspects relating to the construction of the Project, keeping and reviewing record of works, materials, equipment at site, monitoring Contractor's schedules, observe and comply with site safety, and submitting all reports
• To provide full support and assistance to the QP, PM or RE in ensuring that their instructions are communicated effectively and works are being carried out in accordance with instructions from time to time.
• To assist the PM in preparing a monthly valuation of the M&E work constructed.
• To assist the PM to prepare site instruction to the contractor as well as list of defect of any completed works.
• To ensure that the items in the defect lists are rectified when required and carry out such further inspections as necessary to ensure that the work is completed
• To perform other duties as instructed by the RE
• To attend daily toolbox meetings, and Contractor’s technical and progress meetings

Roles & Responsibilities

M&E Engineer is responsible for :-

JOB DESCRIPTION:

· Monitor and report on the progress of work to project manager;

· Control the progress of shop drawings, technical submissions and equipment/material procurement/fabrication/delivery status for on-time completion.

· Coordinate with client’s representatives, consultants, and subcontractors on all technical matters, including submission of method statement, drawings, materials, samples and work progress;

· Control site progress & installation quality as per approved;

· Carry out inspection of M&E works prior to concreting or subsequent construction works;

· Assist in supervising and coordinating work closely with other departments;

· Assist for submission of evaluation of progress claim, variation work to M&E Manager

· Participate in all relevant project meetings;

· Responsible for carrying out M&E technical meetings and resolving technical issues with record;

· Responsible for M&E drawing coordination and production of CSD and individual service drawings quality;

· Responsible for conducting inspection to meet with construction schedule;

· Provide and maintain all site inspection records & T&C records up to date;

· Ensure quality of MEP workmanship and compliance with safety and environmental requirements;

· Provide and maintain all site inspection records & T&C records up to date;

· Allocate work and ensure jobs are correctly and properly achieved within standards and SOP.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;

· Min of 2 years’ work experience related projects in Singapore building and construction industry;

· Strong Electrical/Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experiences;

· Sound knowledge in BIM, Revit, Autocad would be an advantage;

· Good communication skills with the ability to coordinate with site teams to execute work
