• Interpret the designer’s vision to build an outstanding creative solution by utilising the latest skills and techniques and your own creative flair.
• Visualise from draft concepts of a brief to innovative design solutions.

• Aid the smooth transaction of projects from the studio to the production team.

• Develop and build outstanding technical expertise across 2D & 3D imaging in order to showcase 1HQ’s design work.

Career Experience

• Min of 5 years artwork experience within a packaging design agency.
• Strong understanding of FMCG branding, luxury branding and beyond is essential.
• Evidence of working with global brands.
• Excellent in Illustrator, Photoshop and preferably in CAD and Cinema 4D or similar.
• Demonstrable experience in pushing boundaries whilst still maintaining the integrity of the work.

Required Skills

• Structured and logical approach with great attention to detail.
• Ability to work across multiple disciplines with designers.
• Ability to take abstract ideas, conceptualise and craft them.
• Ability to render realistic packaging across a variety of substrates.
• Excellent Photoshop and solid illustrator skills essentially.

Placed at the heart of the creative team at 1HQ, and at the forefront of big brand ideas for our global and challenger clients, you will be instrumental in creating outstanding and effective solutions which promote brand integrity and help inspire and delight our clients by taking them beyond their expectations.

Working closely with the client champions + Design team as we continue to build strong client relationships. You will manage creative projects in isolation as well as a part of a team to inspire and drive great design from those around you, particularly directing and mentoring junior members of the creative force. You will also be providing creative assistance and guidance to the mid weight design team, and advising Account Directors on the overall effectiveness of all projects big and small.

You will also be involved in working with the 1HQ strategy team in helping to shape and evolve

brands from the outset, through to directing and motivating our visualising team, photography art direction (in and out of the studio) as well as guiding and briefing our implementation and artwork team.

You will be required to present creative work with clarity both internally as well as to our clients and

in doing so project the passion and insight that helps make these ideas both relevent and unique.

• Manage and run projects from concept to completion, delivering to our Clients the ‘best + beyond’ creative solution in the most cost-effective manner.

• Use initiative to assist and support your team where needed.
• Ensure team administrative needs are kept up to date.
• Create first draft client and project budgets/proposals to share with your senior team member.
• Maintain up-to-date filing and documentation for all projects.
• Make sure that all project budgets are positively managed, and clients are informed of any changes that occur.

Creativity

• Write clear, concise and inspiring first draft creative briefs interpreting the client brief in order to inspire the creative team to share with senior members of the team.

Client Relationships

• Aim to become part of the Client’s extended team; become their trusted partner who is responsible for ensuring that the internal 1HQ team consistently delivers the clients requirements and that the client is kept updated at all times in a timely and efficient manner.
• Visit Clients with relevant team members and thoroughly understand and note all conversations. Where relevant, suggest ideas and solutions.
• Where relevant create contact reports and circulate to clients and internal teams.
• Create schedules and timing plans for projects, book in resources with the Studio Manager.

New Business

• Support your teams in new business pitches; for example, sourcing information, trends, images, competitor landscape information.
• Support your team in managing the timing schedule to deliver pitches and proposals.
