Job Description
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians and other electrical workers during installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Assign duties, examine work for accuracy, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety regulations.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Prepare sketches and follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment, and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
- Ensure that all safety procedures are followed.
Job Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and components.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
