What You Will Achieve
- Will be responsible for consolidating and developing Major Hazard Installations (MHI) safety case to ensure compliance of all applicable laws and regulations, codes of practices and Global EHS Standards to support API plant operations not limited to essential programs like Process Safety Management (PSM), Workplace Safety & Health, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Control & Instrumentation, Human Factors, Emergency Response, ALARP, Audit, Incident Investigation and cGMP
- Accountable for
- Compliance with all applicable codes of practice, local MHI regulations and Global EHS Standards
- Onsite safety goals / objectives
- Process safety performance leading indicators and metrics for continual improvement
- Knowledge management of PSM (Process Safety Management)
How You Will Achieve It
- Organize, manage and submit process safety documentation to the respective regulatory agency.
- Comply with the regulatory requirements of “safety case” report.
- Develop and review Major Accident Prevention Policy and Health & Safety Management System with guidance from Process Safety Manager or EHS Team Leader.
- Manage and consolidate technical assessments on predictive, process safety, mechanical engineering, electrical control & instrumentation, human factors, emergency response and ALARP.
- Plan and prepare for compliance audits according to the requirements of all applicable codes of practice, local Major Hazard Installations (MHI) regulations and Global EHS Standards.
- Work with minimal guidance from Process Safety Manager or in partnership to review the work processes of process safety hazard identification & risk controls, major accident scenarios, process hazard analysis, incident investigation and management of change, and identify areas for improvement to enhance the robustness of these processes.
- Maintain and upkeep documentation and records of PSM programs and/or safety case in the state of readiness for compliance inspection and/or audits.
- Consolidate and develop process safety awareness training package. In partnership with Process Safety Manager to conduct the training for colleagues onsite.
- Organize and facilitate PHA (HAZOP Studies) and PHA revalidation and complete all relevant in a timely manner
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor degree in chemicals / process safety / mechanical / environmental engineering or science (pharmaceutical or chemistry).
- Technical know-how in process safety engineering, QRA, or PHA is essential
- 5 Years relevant experience within the pharmaceutical API or related industries; incumbent as technical role with good knowledge of dispersion modelling, QRA is advantageous.
- Good knowledge and application of stipulated codes of practice (e.g.ANSI/ISA-18.2-2009, SS506 part 3, API510, Singapore Fire Safety Act) is advantageous
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working in manufacturing environment, with Good Manufacturing Practices {also cGMP} or Information Security Officer
