Job Description
The Technician will:
- Carry out all emergency repairs to all technical equipment related to the individual’s skill and experience level.
- Perform preventative maintenance and condition monitoring programs.
- Perform general repairs and maintenance to all plants and equipment based on skill and experience level.
- Control and monitor all Engineering supplies and assist in inventory procedures.
- Assist in the administration of the department by completing the necessary forms, documents, log books, and computer print-outs in a timely and accurate manner as directed.
- Do preventive and overhaul maintenance.
- Review daily log book, rectify or follow up on all items left unsolved from any previous shifts, and discuss the same with the Supervisor/ Chief Engineer.
- Be responsible for the correct operation of the physical plant and all Engineering facilities of the entire property in accordance with established policies and procedures, maintenance program, and operation schedule.
- Undertake all necessary repairs in his section ensuring maximum utilization and minimum breakdown of assigned equipment.
- Be responsible for writing on the backside of work order, assumed reason for breakdowns/replacements.
- Give daily Associate reports to the Supervisor/ Chief Engineer.
- Keep the Supervisor/ Chief Engineer informed of inoperative equipment, the progress of work, possible delay, job performance, issues, discipline, and any discrepancies within his crew.
- Keep a close watch on spare parts/supplies required and advises Supervisor/ Chief Engineer of reordering in advance to ensure that replacement parts/supplies are always readily available.
- Maintain records relating to utility costs throughout the property.
And the rest of the time, Technician will
- Perform other duties and functions as may be assigned by the Supervisor/ Chief Engineer from time to time.
- Participate in any Engineering initiatives and projects.
- Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
What it takes to be a really great Technician
- Vocational School or A Diploma
- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred
- Good command of English is required; Additional language is an asset
- Ability to remain calm and courteous in demanding situations
- Ability to work under own initiative in a highly pressured environment
- Ability to develop relationships with 3rd parties and the property teams
- Capacity to read situations, understand environments and respond accordingly
- Someone who is a good team player, honest, details oriented, neat and tidy
- 6 Days work week
