Job Summary:
As the Seafood Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the seafood department, ensuring the highest standards of product quality, customer service, and cleanliness. You will manage inventory, staff, and the overall seafood department, while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the seafood department, including staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Ensure the availability of fresh, high-quality seafood products for sale by monitoring inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain proper seafood storage, handling, and display procedures to ensure food safety and product freshness.
- Assist customers with product selection, providing knowledge about seafood types, preparation, and cooking methods.
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to promote seafood products and increase sales.
- Track and report on sales, inventory levels, and profitability.
- Enforce food safety regulations, health codes, and company policies.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure the best pricing, quality, and timely delivery of products.
- Resolve customer issues or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in seafood management or a related field.
- Knowledge of seafood products, preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Food safety certification is preferred.
