Job Description & Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the following:
- Lead and manage project supervisors to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Ensure adherence to project budgets, schedules, and scope of work, while deploying appropriate staff resources.
- Review and assess project drawings, plans, specifications, and other relevant documents.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues arising during project execution and implement timely resolutions.
- Conduct and actively participate in weekly site meetings to monitor project progress.
- Collaborate with the Safety Officer to ensure compliance with quality standards and health & safety regulations.
- Monitor site staff to ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, resourceful and meticulous;
- Highly motivated and pro-active with the ability to work both independently as well as in a team;
- Perform night work based on project needs.
- Prepare and submit project reports in a timely manner.
- Develop project drawings, including as-built drawings and shop drawings, as required.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Knowledge of building and structural details, working drawings and local construction practices.
- Knowledge of local regulations and engineering standards.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as a team.
- Good time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/ projects at one time.
- Familiar with tender and bidding processes.
- Familiar with local regulations pertaining to building, construction and safety.
Requirements:
· Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) for Windows.
- Ability to work with flexibility to work long hours when necessary.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, in Residential/Industrial/Commercial and/ and other types of buildings and/or construction.
- Certification in BCSS (Building Construction Supervisor Safety) or higher safety certification.
· Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks,BIM360, ACC), strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards, excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
