The CPPS group is seeking a highly motivated scientist or senior scientist to lead and conduct research in machine learning and AI-driven search and optimization algorithms for manufacturing applications. Cutting-edge algorithms will be deployed to support manufacturing decisions in (but not limited to),

• Multi-site/multi-enterprise inventory planning and control,
• Multi-resource production planning and scheduling,
• Value chain manufacturing decision support and decision-making

The key roles & responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Research into novel learning-centric optimization algorithms for efficient multi-resource planning and related value chain problems
• Working with a team of scientists and engineers to enhance the planning capabilities of existing or new enterprise decision-support systems
• Formulate scientific research directions and innovative proposals to secure competitive funding
• Understand the autonomous manufacturing domain and provide innovative solutions to industry problems in this area
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 standards and concepts is an advantage

Job Requirement:

PhD degree in AI, Computer Science, Operations Research, or other relevant disciplines with emphasis on optimization, machine learning and data-science

Candidates with strong fundamentals in computing and AI are welcome. 5 years’ experience in research and leadership of R&D projects in the relevant area of expertise (for Senior Scientist).

As an Assistant Business Development Manager, you will engage with industrial companies to evangelize the use of ROS-Industrial for their robotic solutions and build the advanced manufacturing ecosystem partnerships of startups, corporates, and agencies. You will lead a portfolio of industry accounts? relationships, translate industry requirements into development roadmap, and oversee technical project delivery to ensure total satisfaction. Your supervisor will work closely with you to engage new industry partners to grow the ROSIndustrial Consortium Asia Pacific?s overall impact and reach. The role includes:

- Build, maintain and foster relationships with new and existing members to develop the advanced manufacturing ecosystem partnerships.

• Full ownership of the assigned members and have an intimate understanding of the members? innovation roadmap by closely working with the members to identify area of growth, develop collaboration blueprint, and execute accordingly.
• Working closely with different departments, such as program office, PMO,HQ and technical groups on various initiatives and project engagements.
• Formulate and negotiate business contract to ensure that the collaboration agreement met clients and organization needs in adherence to A*STAR standards and guidelines
• Identify the right funding mechanism to develop and grow department technologies via proof-of-concept / proof-of-value projects, fundings proposal, or joint-collaboration projects.
• Lead, support, and facilitate marketing activities and outreach events (company visits, startup challenge, workshops, digital marketing and newsletters, marketing materials, exhibitions, and presentations
• Drive relevant business modeling, forecasting, portfolio planning and success measure validation
• Collate and analyze market data, sector development and members? activities in order to keep abreast of evolving market and trends.
• Participate in forums, conferences, and other engagement to grow ROS Industrial presence
• Manage accounts receivables from accounts to be in line with credit management policies

Job requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Business Development, Channel Partner Management or Sales in automation / manufacturing industry. Prior experience in technical sales, product / project management, cloud computing, digital technology or robotics would be an added advantage
• Bachelors in Engineering or IT. Masters in Business Administration or similar will be an added advantage.
• Self-starter with innate motivation to drive business and innovation forward
• Proficient acumen in legal and contract negotiation
• Prior experience in conceptualising ideas from ideation to POC/pilot would be an added advantage
• Prior experience in marketing, design and event management would be an advantage
• Prior experience in using design tools and wireframing, such as Canva, AdobeXD would be an added advantage
• Understanding of ROS2, Python/C++, and Cloud Architecture would be an added advantage
• Prior experience in agile innovation and delivery would be an added advantage
• Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and articulate ideas clearly
• Cross-functional work experience with technical, legal, and finance in a virtual organization would be an added advantage

You will play a pivotal role in one of A*STAR flagship programme as a Business Lead. JOB DESCRIPTION

• Generate leads, prospect new businesses by networking, or through other means of generating interest from potential clients
• Take ownership of customer accounts, manage and strengthen relationships with executive C/B-level stakeholders

JOB REQUIREMENT

• At least 3 years of working experience in B2B business development, enterprise sales/account management or marketing

Data Management and preparation of statistical reports

• Status tracking, including collecting, analysing, summarising/dashboarding for regular reporting of proposals and awarded grants, technology disclosures and publications:
• Awarded Grants: Liaise with other offices (Finance, PMO, SIMTech IDO, ARTC BDO) to consolidate data
• Technology Disclosures: Liase within RDO to consolidate data
• Publications: Liaise with SIMTech and ARTC Divisions and A*STAR SERC Planning to consolidate and align data
• Consolidate statistics and provide regular reporting to SIMTech, ARTC and SERC
• Carry out periodic update of Staff List and Affiliations for up-to-date reporting
• Continuous improvement to enhance data capture and information flow across departments
• Management of RDO shared folders and archival of documents for Grants, Technological Disclosure and Publications

Digitalisation and Dashboards

• Update (as required) and maintain Power BI Dashboard for pipeline proposals
• Design and maintain Power BI Dashboard for Technology Disclosures and Publications
• Propose, develop, maintain, and automate process approval workflows for all RDO-related approvals

System maintenance and updates

• Own, update and maintain TD system including troubleshooting and updating of approval workflows
• Design, build and maintain S&A Knowledge Management System (connecting Research Personnel, Technology Disclosures and Publications)

Intranet Page and Portals

• Maintain RDO intranet page with up-to-date information on Technology Disclosures and Publications
• Set up and maintain lists for Scopus and Scival portals
• Support RDO activities and tasks, as required
• Cover other RDO job functions, as required

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

• Diploma or Degree in administration or science or engineering
