The lab officer?s responsibilities include operation of high-power lasers for cleaning related experiments, metal and composite sample preparation, characterization, measurement, and mechanical testing. The lab officer also supports group?s research activities through procurement, design of experiments, equipment scheduling, risks identification and assessment to ensure efficient and safe operation of our labs. The roles and responsibilities include the following areas:

· Perform high-power laser material processing using robotics, CNC and hand-held systems on-site of ARTC and occasional visit to customer sites.

· Tracking and managing lab resource utilization, procurement, and delivery.

· Ensure high operational readiness by troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and liaising for repairs.

· Planning equipment maintenance and facilitating mechanical and electrical installations for new equipment.

· Assist in scheduling equipment utilization and procurement for project consumables.

· Secondary roles related to health, safety, environment, and procurement to manage the Risk Assessment (RA), Standard Working Procedures (SWP), Permit to Work (PTW), and chemical purchasing and storage.

The job scope encompasses project planning and management across the project life cycle using the Front-End Loading (FEL) methodology. ISCE2 is looking for a highly self-driven and meticulous individual who has the strong ability to multi-task and has good time and project management skills to deliver results under tight timelines.

Key Accountabilities:

• Defines and manages project scope, planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and project risks using project management tools based on project objectives and goals
• Establishes, oversees and manages project schedule, milestones and deliverables
• Provide regular forecasts to enable project and resource controlling for prompt decision making
• Manage contracts with vendors, suppliers and consults during both engineering and construction phases
• Present and communicate effectively on project status, risks, resources and change management to stakeholders and advocates for the project internally and externally.
