Job Description:

• Engage with companies and agencies to understand their businesses, product/service offerings & technology needs.
• Foster R&D collaboration between companies/agencies with researchers/research units in A*STAR SRTT, to drive impactful outcomes.

Requirements:

• Master in Physical Sciences or equivalent.
• 5 years of industry/agency experience, with 3-5 years in a business development and/or technical strategic planning and execution role.
• Candidates with experience and knowledge in advanced scientific concepts and cutting-edge technologies, preferably in advanced computing, high performance computing, quantum , semicon/electronics, will have an advantage.
• Experience in project management in an R&D, Technology and/or Operations environment, interfacing with private and public sector agencies would be a plus.

Under the newly established Central Initiative Administration (CIA), A*STAR is recruiting a Manager/ Senior Manager/ Assistant Director for SRTT Digital Communication & Content and Logistic Support Personnel.

We seek an enthusiastic and creative individual to join our team and contribute to A*STAR"s digital strategy. You will be required to perform multi-faceted duties, which may include the following areas: social media platforms management, content production and copywriting, website management support, social media and website data analysis.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the SRTT Director Corporate Services (DCS) overseeing the Central Initiatives Administration (CIA), the role includes but not limited to:

1. Digital Communication and Content Support:

• Manage social media accounts, including executing the platform’s strategy, overseeing the publicity pipeline, scheduling and posting content, and engaging with target audiences.
• Content conceptualisation and production, inclusive but not limited to articles, graphics, or videos. Align content with A*STAR messaging for our target audiences.
• Support the execution of the website strategy, design, development and maintenance.
• Work closely with SRTT Program Director / Scientific Program Manager to source impactful stories for our social media platforms and website.
• Monitor and analyse our social media and website performance to ensure they align with the digital strategy.
• Provide support for other digital communications projects and initiatives.

2. Event Organization and Logistic Support:

• Support the planning and organization of events, meetings, and conferences as required by the SRTTs.
• Provide logistic support for events, including registration and ushering.
• Coordinate the setup of event venues, manage attendee lists, and any other required tasks to ensure a smooth flow of activities.
• Handle correspondence, prepare documents, and manage office communications based on event needs.
• Handle Procurement / Finance related matters, e.g., Raise budget memo for approval, raise purchase requests, goods receiving etc.
• Schedule meetings (based on event needs), appointments, and conference calls. Resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure timely reminders.
• Book flights, accommodations, transportation, and other travel-related services for work trips for visiting scientists, Advisory board members, senior management and staff.

Job Requirements:

• Degree, any discipline with at least 8 years of professional experience in a similar capacity, including website and social media management and proficiency in content production and administrative or office management role.
• Apt knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and trends, as well as website programming language, operating systems and standards.
• Able to leverage on digital dashboards for monitoring and tracking (Power BI, tableau etc.) will be a plus.
• Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills for good relationship management.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and good team player.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and able to present information in a logical manner.
• Experience in design and video software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator), Google Analytics 4, social media analytics and UI/UX design would be advantageous.

• Preferably possess a BSc or BA in a scientific discipline.
