Job Description & Requirements

1. Formulate and provide directives for Production Department in meeting organization's goals and committed to Quality Management System.
2. Accountable with the assigned factory sections in terms of production, New Model Development, Customer Service and Support, Supplier and Materials Management, Logistics and Transportation.
3. Analyze section profit/loss of projects and providing cost control and cost effectiveness strategy.
4. Provide production & material planning in ensuring production efficiency and on time delivery.
5. Ensure effective control of machine up/down time and well scheduled and optimized planning in machine / work-center load.
6. Manpower balancing and deplaoyment strategy with manpower skill set.
7. Continuous improvement program to ensure productivity, cost and quality effectiveness, general housekeeping and safety.
8. Formulate, identify and conduct management / training workshop to initiate / facilitate staff in aligning organizations missions and objectives and actions plans.
9. Support other function activities within the company to achieve the overall business goals and objectives.
10. Implement process improvement.
11. Authorize the appropriate use of performance monitoring and statistical techniques.
12. Ensure and coordinate the implementation of risk assessment and risk contol of medical devices.

Requirements:

• Preferred to have Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years in a Manufacturing environment (preferably in Precision Engrg / Sheet metal industry) and with at least 4 years of supervisory capacity.
• Exposure with involvement in newly factory, product / process set-up is much preferred.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing cycle and good budgeting control.
• Strong leadership with good analytical and problem solving skill, as well as dynamic in planning and result oriented.

Authorities and Responsibilities

• Act as primary customer contact, and provide technical support and regular update to customers on project development in a timely manner.
• Communicate and co-ordinate with clients and relevant parties pertaining to the technical requirements and engineering aspects of the assigned projects.
• Review / prepare, administer and implement Quality Assurance Plans, Inspection Test Plans and other Operational procedures in accordance to the project specifications, client's surveillance requirements, and good manufacturing / engineering practices, and enforce the same on Operations in their project execution.
• Provide expertise and advisory support to enable operations are effectively and responsibly execute, and consistently maintain, quality workmanship and conformance to design and project specifications, and good manufacturing / engineering practices.
• Plan, monitor and control projects from the receipt of orders through to installation / completion at the customer's site. Additionally to review and competently controlled the completion of project within the allocated budgets and schedules.
• Responsible for getting project acceptance by customers.
• Lead the cross-functional project team and work closely among inter-department to ensure committed schedules are met in a timely and effectively manner.
• Participate in the implementation of risk assessment and risk control of medical devices.

Competence Requirements

• Preferred to have NTC / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably with 3 – 6 years of related experience in which 2 years of involvement with project management in a contract manufacturing environment.
• Preference will be given to those who have experience working with multi-discipline project teams in a manufacturing equipment or system integration environment.
• Working knowledge with precision machining / assembly processes is an advantage.
• Able to work effectively with customers according to deadlines and under pressure-filled conditions.
• Should be innovative, independent and motivated.

Responsibilies:

1. Provide Technical support and update customers on project development timely.
2. Communicate and coordinate with customers and relevant parties pertaining to technical requirements and engineering aspect of the assigned projects.
3. Plan, monitor and control all assigned projects are delivered within the given schedule.
4. Work with inter-departments to ensure commited schedules are met.
5. Assist to prepare and compile contractual quotation for existing and new products as per customers' enquires.
6. Prepare and release job orders/purchase requisition to various departments.
7. Prepare and generate shipment documents for delivery.
8. Provide regular updates on project development timely.

Requirement:

• Minimum NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or related.
• 2 years of relevant experience
• Able to interpret technical drawing and computer literate.
• Must be result oriented, resourceful and independent.

Authorities and Responsibilities

1. To organize, co-ordinate, check and ensure all production activities follow as plan.
2. Calculate machine cycle time and organize production schedule base on machine capacity and capabilities
3. Plan manpower resources and delegate machining job to machinist
4. Verify program issue to workshop
5. Analyze and provide solution to solve problems between programmer and production dept.
6. Analyze monthly machining and scrap report
7. Good supervisory skill, people skill and 5 ‘S’ housekeeping
8. Good writing and communicating skill
9. Good in mechanical process, such as machining process, H/T, jig and fixture etc.

Competence Requirements

• Preferred NTC 2 / Diploma in Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of working in related industry, and having 2 – 3 years of supervisory experience and preferably with working knowledge in machining processes.
• PC literate
• Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and is an effective team player who is also self driven with a strong achievement orientation.

1. Ensure all fabrication work is done with acceptable quality by daily monitoring include inspecting according to specification, procedure and applicable standards.
2. Understand all technical specification and standard compliance and ability to handle troubleshooting project correction.
3. Prepare welding methods, PQR assembly and other CWI duties.
4. Co-ordinate, communicate with member even carrying out inspection of all the welding and associated actions in accordance with the approved Welding Procedure Specification, drawings and Company Specification and requirements.
5. Co-ordinate and liaise with Production personnel to ensure that all inspection stages comply to inspection and test plans on material or structure.
6. Witness and verify all tests include reinstatement etc. and prepare reports after such tests are conducted.
7. Verify product identification through material verification inspection and periodical random checks on site.
8. Responsible in executing directives as set forth for the Quality Assurance Department in meeting management objectives in term of quality control/assurance of all production fabrication works/projects.
9. Implement and maintain a system of auditing the facility and periodic calibration of test, measuring equipment and tools include all documentation, procedure qualification records accordance to customer specification and code.
10. Manage and supervise a team of inspectors / technicians in meeting departmental quality goals and production schedule.
11. Manage customer complaints, corrective and preventive action programs and Administer and manage continuous improvement program for all QA processes.
12. Work closely with customers, production and suppliers to meet the quality requirements.
13. Review / prepare, administer and implement Quality Assurance Plans, Inspection Test Plans and other Operational procedures in accordance to the technical specifications, customer's surveillance requirements, and good manufacturing / engineering practices, and enforce the same on Operations in their execution.
