As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll spearhead the migration of the Data Centre (GDC), ensuring seamless transitions that modernize infrastructure and improve operational efficiency. This role combines technical expertise, strategic planning, and stakeholder management to deliver outcomes that strengthen public sector capabilities.
What You’ll Do
1. Drive High-Impact IT Infrastructure Projects
- Lead end-to-end management of the GDC migration project, including data centre setup and tracking application migrations.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, manage timelines, and ensure budgets align with objectives.
- Identify, mitigate, and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Ensure Operational Excellence
- Oversee procurement processes and maintain up-to-date RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs.
- Escalate critical matters promptly to ensure swift resolutions and smooth progress.
3. Facilitate Stakeholder Collaboration
- Lead Project Steering Committee (PSC) meetings, providing clear and timely updates on status, risks, and decisions.
- Collaborate effectively with external partners (e.g., GovTech, CSA, vendors) and internal teams to ensure compliance with governance processes.
4. Build Resilient IT Infrastructure
- Drive disaster recovery and business continuity planning, ensuring systems remain robust and secure.
- Implement value stream mapping and process improvement techniques to optimize project outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in project management, specializing in large-scale IT projects, particularly data centre and cloud setup and migration.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including compute, network, storage, and cybersecurity.
- Certifications: Project management credentials (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Resilience Planning: Experience in disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Process Improvement: Knowledge of value stream mapping and process optimization.
