ABOUT THE ROLE

As Startup Marketing Manager, you have a track record of building demand for startups, from prospect to purchase, to usage and advocacy. You will support Startup Marketing for JAPAC, ensuring the delivery of high-converting marketing experiences that deliver on Startup targets alongside sales.

You will support startup marketing at scale, build alignment with sales and contribute to the overall success of the SMB startup business. This is a highly collaborative role working across multiple internal and external stakeholders to build a portfolio of programs and initiatives tailored for Startups in APAC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Orchestrate organizations' programs in JAPAC, optimizing and iterating based on performance
• Partner with Startup regional sales leadership team on aligning marketing strategies with business plans
• Deliver on targets and identify opportunities for future programs through data analysis
• Execute always on demand gen programs aimed at acquiring startups and lifecycle programs in retaining and progressing startups
• Build partnerships with VC / PE firms and StartUp Incubators in driving co-marketing initiatives
• Execute media led advocacy programs at scale to communicate the value across APJ
• Drive cross channel integrated programs across paid, owned earned media to engage startups, drive trials, build advocacy and contribute to ARR
• Build and communicate customer wins and drive evangelisation within the StartUp community

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of marketing experience in a technology environment directly supporting sales teams such as Field Marketing
• Experience in startup marketing roles in B2B tech
• Experience in building and managing the startup communities
• Full stack marketer in both Upper & Lower Funnel of marketing
• Core competences in navigating with ambiguity, taking ownership, seeking challenges, willing to try and experiment.
• Strong in planning and prioritizing tasks.
• Experience in storytelling!
• Experience in sales stakeholder management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting VC and Incubator partnerships
• Ability to engage with sales stakeholders and conveying crisp business outcomes and narratives using data
• Experience in managing and delivering scaled cross channel integrated programs with clear goals and objectives
• Core experience across SEM, Social media marketing, Content syndication and ABM
• Expertise in storytelling with a data lens

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set strategy and vision for the implementation of our customer reference program in SEA and as the external contact for the company customers.
• Identify and nurture a pool of satisfied customers willing to participate in marketing activities, including case studies, testimonials, webinars, and events.
• Engage with marketing, sales, product and executive teams, on a daily basis, regarding customer advocacy. Train internal teams on use of reference materials, processes, programs and strategy for customer assets.
• Coordinate customer speaking opportunities, including webinars, conferences, and industry events, to highlight our brand’s impact through authentic customer advocacy.
• Work directly with customers to capture their experiences, success metrics, and insights, crafting compelling narratives and case studies to be used across sales and marketing channels.
• Foster long-term relationships with referenceable customers, ensuring their ongoing engagement and satisfaction with the reference process.
• Measure the effectiveness of the customer reference program by tracking metrics such as engagement, lead generation impact, and sales influence, using insights to refine strategies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience - MBA degree a plus.
• 5 years experience in business-to-business (B2B) marketing or developer marketing channels such as content, event and community marketing, direct emails and social media.
• Ability to speak and write in English fluently
• Strong stakeholder management
• Project management skills and experience including websites, social media, reporting and managing vendors and agencies for content creation and review.
• Have agency experience, particularly in customer success, sales, PR, analytics and customer advocacy.

The Role

Responsibilities

Account Development and Growth

• Support identifying new business opportunities and assisting with proposal development.

Commercial Management

• Demonstrate expertise in AdTech, MarTech, media buying and programmatic from agency or client-side roles.

• Commit to creating exceptional customer experiences.

• Be familiar with business development activities in a consulting domain (or sales-driven function)

Requirements

• Have 3-6 years of consulting or relevant marketing agency experience, including at least 2 years in technology consulting.

• Prior experience in the Cloud Computing or FinTech industry is highly desired, but not a must.

• Exhibit self-motivation and the ability to excel independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Prior experience in the collaborative development of SOWs, RFPs and client-facing presentations.

• Strategic thinking and team management skills.

• Strong client-facing and communication abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
