Responsibilities:

• Contribute to development of the new advisory services portfolio by leading customer need and value analysis, planning, following up of portfolio performance and ensuring the coordination with the global advisory services organization Lead continuous business analysis of the existing portfolio and potential new portfolio items including analysis of alternative investments and reviewing potential partnering options.
• Direct creation of the local offering business plan, ensuring fit with global strategy. Define the business model and approve the pricing model.
• Analyze and track market, technology, competitors, and trends related to the offering including relevant regulations, and determine competitive attributes and value proposition towards customers
• Support creation, planning, and implementation of advisory service sales strategy and strategic business development initiatives, support creation, planning, and implementation of advisory service operational strategy and FSE (Field Service Engineers) development initiatives including training and support for on-site data collection
• Coordinate advisory service sales activities and operational project execution with country organizations and support local sales teams in achieving order intake, margin, and related objectives for advisory services Establish long term customer relationships with key customers and decision makers on C-suite level by understanding the requirements, regulations and exhibiting high expertise in technical solutions and products
• Act as interface connecting customer/external market with internal functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, and Research & Development) and oversees resolution of customer issues
• Ensure that the advisory service organization within assigned area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, trained, competent and directed. Guide, motivate, and develop direct and indirect subordinates

Requirements:

• Morea than 10 years of experience in account management and/or portfolio management within multinational companies
• Energy and power distribution systems knowledge, customer needs and segments as well as electrical distribution, applications, and processes.
• Experience in managing sustainability projects will be a plus Significant sales drive, focus energy to achieve and close profitable deals.
• Excellent skills in customer relations with mature selling behavior and actively drive discussions and negotiations.
• Good knowledge in contract and risk management and understand and use sales processes and related tools as well as the ability to accurately estimate costs of service offerings.
• Proven personal leadership in building and leading teams, shaping collaborative, diverse and inclusive organizational culture with high strategic and results orientation.
• Global mind-set, intercultural sensitivity, and excellent communication skills, fluency in English is essential (written and spoken)

The Regional Account Director for Power Protection is responsible for driving strategic direction at large, regional/global Hyperscale, Colocation and Enterprise accounts to satisfy customer needs while protecting and growing ABB’s Power Protection business.

This will include growth targets for new business and expansion of existing business. While having individual sales targets, the position requires a significant amount of coordination across the entire organization to ensure successful creation of demand, strategic alignment, closing of sales opportunities and account satisfaction. The successful candidate should have a clear understanding of thebusiness models of ABB’s Power Protectioncustomers.

The role requires leadership, large account management experience and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively work with senior executives inside and outside the organization.

International travel will also be required with this role.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Leads the development and implementation of the account plan and Statement of Work (SoW) growth actions.
• Understands the key business drivers, including significant and emerging business risks (e.g., sustainability/digital/cybersecurity) of the relevant global customer’s business and business environment and interprets the corresponding impacts and opportunities for ABB.
• Participates in the development of sales strategies for the account through providing current business and long-term plans of the customer.
• Defines and proposes sales targets for the account and ensures their achievement through a structured follow-up process across divisions and countries.
• Sells products/solutions/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets, representing ABB, overall.
• Creates added value for the customer and ABB by ensuring a coordinated sales approach (e.g., frame agreements, sales planning, and issue resolution).
• Monitors competitors’ activity with the account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.
• Gives input on market price developments.
• Drives application of standardized marketing & sales processes and tools (Salesforce, account plans, etc.) for the account.

Your background:

• Postgraduate Degree or above, in Business or Engineering field. MBA preferred.
• Extensive Data Center experience and knowledge in the electrical/mechanical industries (20+ years preferred)
• Wide network across data center industry in both EMEA and APAC region
• Successful track record in managing global / regional accounts
• Strong influencing skills working across functions, geographies, and segments
• Previous experience in Electrical (Switchgears, Uninterruptible Power Supplies), Automation (Power Management Systems, Building Management Systems) and Mechanical Industries
• Understanding of mission critical segments: Data Center, Infrastructure, Utility
• Familiar with tendering, commissioning and project execution processes
• Strong leadership skills and ability to drive change in a matrix organization

Responsibilities:

• Leading the project manager team, establishes the project execution approach and oversees project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals
• Ensuring that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies. Effectively monitoring and controlling project progress and efficient resource utilization. Monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow
• Ensuring that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements. Coordinating with Supply Chain Management, and successfully procures all required services, materials, and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers
• Acting as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders
• Ensuring the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies
• Coaching and providing feedback for project managers
• Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, and managing project risks, and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued
• Actively participating in supporting sales teams to develop business and secure projects on budgets, commercial and legal T&C etc

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or another relevant course
• Excellent project management and people leadership experience
• Project Management Certification (PMI/ABB certification) is an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Experience in handling project teams effective and ability to engage and motivate people of different culture
• Knowledge and experience in other functions like Engineering, supply chain management along with strong project management skills
• Experience in handling complex E-House, electrification & automation projects in Oil & Gas / Offshore / FPSO segment.
