MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

• Perform new customers and laboratory site inspections for new contract/ tender preparations and design for new installations.
• Provide Level I and Level II service (complex service interventions requiring more than 4 hours of labor).
• Installation of instruments, AbbottLink, and automation.
• Perform IQOQ (Installation Qualification Operation Qualification) procedures during and after installation.
• Assist with customer business reviews.
• Schedule, perform, and document hardware and software updates (TSBs) requiring more than 2 hours.
• Deliver basic customer operator introductory training post install or post hardware or software upgrade.
• Perform basic technical coaching and training for Abbott Ambassadors.
• Service Sales and Service Cost Management.
• Spare Parts and inventory management.
• Timely submitting and update reporting system (e.g. CMS Next).
• Comply to Abbott Quality and Regulatory Compliance and policies.
• Any other tasks assigned by management from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology/ Bioengineering or Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• 3-5 years' experience in Field Service Engineering from relevant industries such as diagnostics/medical device/ semiconductor etc.
• Willing to be on rotational standby after work hours/ work overtime to resolve urgent service issues.
• Successful engagement with customers, specifically key stakeholders and lab staff.
• Excellent product and industry knowledge, experience and process skills of the business functions service delivery.
• Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues, technical expert for product line responsibility.
• Excellent communication skills, experience in use of analytical tools and software.
• Coaching and training skills.

Major Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and timely technical information, advice, and assistance regarding the organization's products and services before, during, and after a transaction to maintain and improve the organization's customer relationships.
• Deliver customer operator training in Abbott facilities or on-site
• Perform new instrument and assay implementations through to Test-of–Record
• Provide on-site assay investigation and troubleshooting related to instruments, software reagents and experimental designed
• Provide operator training and coaching on assay and instrument (hardware and software)
• Prepare technical documents and reports for implementation, training, and investigations
• Connect and integrate available or customize technologies to cater customers’ needs, take lead in technical discussions, analyze their needs, and propose relevant product and solution offerings
• Host user meetings, workshops, seminars to update products information on instrumentation and support
• Track assay issues and escalation cases for reporting and work closely with global teams to maintain records and solve issues
• Use databases or other computerized systems to maintain up-to-date customer records, to track the volume, content and outcomes of enquiries received, and to access information, checklists, scripts, guidelines, and other materials for responding to the customer’s enquiry.
• Work closely with other TAS and Service team to seek feedback and scope out potential lot issues
• Workflow improvement / optimization
• Any other task assigned by management from time to time

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science/ Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or other related disciplines
• Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience and proven track record in a diagnostic laboratory in a similar position
• Strong stakeholder management skills with proven engagements with customers, key stakeholders, and lab staff
• Good knowledge in Technical Assay and systems to act as expert for product line responsibility
• Highly developed communication skills and ability to demonstrate empathy and engagement with customers
• Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues
• Strong experience in use of analytical tools and software
• Must be willing and able to be on standby after work hours/ work overtime to resolve issues when arises

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement services and components utilizing Go for cloud-based platforms
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and integrate with APIs that empower to share and utilize their medical data in partner systems
• Design and implement unit testable code that are highly maintainable
• Collaborate directly with InfoSec to design and implement secure solutions
• Collaborate with both internal and external team members to to shape and define API contracts
• Provide new ideas and insight in collaboration with the data services team
• Ensure performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design.
• Contribute to significant architectural and operational decisions in collaboration with the Architecture team
• Build out our internal tooling and APIs to make business and engineering processes easier, faster, and safer.
• Implement systemic changes to align existing systems with current architectural goals
• Create diagrams, flowcharts and models that illustrate the internal design and workflow of solution components
• Collaborate as an enaged member of an agile team, realizing features through development, test, and delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant field
• Communicate effectively in both English and regional language
• Software development experience, ideally in Go but also in Python, Rust, Java, Spark, or C#/.NET. A willingness to learn new software development languages to meet goals and objectives
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals and experience with software development
• Eagerness to contribute beyond experience level
• Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
• Practical experience and understanding of working with and developing APIs and microservices
• Experience with federation services, including SAML, Reverse Proxy, OAUTH/OIDC is mandatory
