PRIMARY FUNCTION:

• Responsible for overseeing the Operation and Maintenance of assigned Utility systems including: Non-GMP and GMP Utilities and Non-GMP and GMP HVAC equipment; including but not limited to other equipment: Boilers, Chillers, Air compressors, Building Management System, CO2, N2, Effluent Treatment Plant, Water Treatment.
• Accountable for Operation, Maintenance and monitoring regimes and play a key role in improving Utilities reliability rates, maintaining compliance, providing for a safe work environment, and controlling costs of the Utilities operations.
• To provide support to ongoing plant operations on a 24 x 7 basis and ensure total compliance to regulatory, cGMP and Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) standards
• Supervise contractors, and technicians and provide day to day operational support and maintenance services including, modifications and changes to processes and equipment, troubleshooting, deviation investigation, identification, and completion of corrective and preventative actions.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations and routine/ breakdown maintenance of Utilities Equipment systems
• Maintain operations and maintenance records to comply with regulatory, cGMP and EHS requirements.
• Take ownership of utility systems as the Subject Matter Expert
• Participate in corporate, regulatory, cGMP, EHS and other internal/ external audits as required by the management.
• Analyze technical problems in the utility and manufacturing areas and develop both short term and long-term recommendations for their correction. Lead or assist cross-functional teams in finding solutions to technical problems.
• Actively engaged in developing specifications for equipment and utility systems and assist in FAT/ SAT of related equipment as part of the new buildouts
• Participates in vendor bid solicitation, selection and contract management.
• Responsible for the performance of preventative & repair maintenance of utility system equipment, periodic inspections of utility systems to ensure proper operation, and daily checks/repairs in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Analyze trends and identify issues and improvement opportunities proactively.
• Coaching and mentoring of Technicians in the execution of routine operations and maintenance works.
• Ensure that contractors are delivering quality services.
• Ensure that all internal customer demands are being met.
• Compliance with local regulatory laws is also required.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for developing the standard operating procedures, implementing of preventive and predictive maintenance, calibration program to ensure utilities equipment are maintained to thehighest level of Safety & Quality. This includes routine and plant major shut down activities.
• Responsible for support and execution of equipment qualification such as commissioning, IQ/ OQ/ PQ.
• Lead a team of technicians and contractors for day-to-day utilities operations to ensure zero
• downtime of utilities systems and drive continuous improvement projects/ initiatives.
• Preparing operation and maintenance zero base budget.
• Carry out other work or task as directed by Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Engineering or related discipline
• MOM certified Steam Engineer Certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Utilities/Mechanical/Maintenance/Electrical engineering related positions
• Hands-on experience in routine operations, maintenance, engineering design, start-up, and commissioning of the relevant Utilities Discipline
• Knowledge of cGMP is highly preferred
• Good planning and supervisory and strong interpersonal skills.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

• Supervise and inspect the installation, modification, testing and operation of instrumentation, controls, components, and systems.
• Function as project development member to install or upgrade equipment. Schedule and obtain project material and manpower.
• Organize/coordinate site calibration program in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Oversee the use and maintenance of measuring instruments.
• Support in the planning of routine maintenance of production equipment.
• Strategize on maintenance, work instruction and methods to create effective preventive maintenance procedures.
• Analyze breakdowns, diagnose faults, and lead time critical equipment repairs. Implement preventive measures to improve machine reliability.
• Work with reliability engineers to improve equipment performance and extend equipment useful life cycle.
• Oversee and control maintenance costs.
• Train and mentor technicians in equipment operating concepts and maintenance techniques.
• Support plant EHS and Quality initiatives and targets.
• Support automation activities including line sustaining operations and troubleshooting.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review/approve calibration specifications against product/ process specifications.
• Ensure timely completion of calibration related investigations and develop effective corrective/preventive actions.
• Develop standard operating procedures for instrument calibration and implementing of maintenance programs for operational efficiencies and minimize cost.
• Evaluate root case analysis reports of major equipment and system failure and develop potential solutions.
• Review installations and assembly documentations periodically to ensure compliance with organizational procedures.
• Approve recommended repair works for major equipment and system failures.
• Establish technical guidelines for the calibrations and alignment of robot motors, sensors and encoders.
• Optimize the motion, functions and routes of robots and other equipment and system components.
• Manage vendor service contracts.
• Preparing operation and maintenance budget.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor of Science in Control & Instrumentation/ Electrical/ Chemical/ IT Engineering or related discipline.
• Diploma with at least 5 years of experience are also welcomed.
• 5 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical or nutritional manufacturing facility will be highly advantageous.
• Good planning and supervisory skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Programmable logic controllers (PLC) will be advantageous.
• High in computer literacy.
• Proficiency in trouble shooting and problem solving.
• Ability to lead, motivate and foster professional development within a team.

Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:

• Lead site wide implementation of Food Safety initiatives. Consulting with Division Food Safety SME where necessary.
• Drive and implement continuous improvements to enhance quality and food safety in our products in a cost effective manner.
• Develop training materials and conduct training as part of roll out of Food Safety initiatives.
• Monitor and report project milestones. Ensures timely and successful execution of changes.
• Improve Food Safety culture and raise awareness of Food Safety through various initiatives.
• Improve site Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system.

Major Responsibilities:

• Establish project milestones and ensures tracking for timely completion.
• Training of cross functional team on the new Food Safety initiatives.
• Implement Change Management Tools (example, CLRS) to ensure successful roll out of Food Safety initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to drive efficiency and cost for the plant.
• Establish Standard Operating Procedures for new Food Safety initiatives.
• Implement improvements to site HACCP and risk assessment.
• Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Bachelors’ Degree in engineering (chemical / biomedical), manufacturing, industrial management, or a related field.
• Min 3 years of experience in quality project management, preferably in food/pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
• Good practical knowledge of GMP in food / pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Good leadership and problem-solving skill.
• Good communication and report writing skill.
• Good project management skill.
• Team player with initiative, drive, good communication skills and a strong command of written English.
• Knowledge in HACCP and risk assessment.
• Knowledge in food engineering and experience in a dairy / nutritional industry would be advantageous.
• Knowledge and experience in driving cultural changes in organization is preferred.
