This position plays a crucial leadership role in overseeing the financial health of the organization, managing the HR & administrative functions, as well as ensuring adherence to risk & governance policies.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyse, and present accurate financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and variances, to the Board and senior leadership.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
- Propose enhancement to financial and management reports for more meaningful reporting and data-driven insights to senior management and the Board.
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, fixed asset register, and general ledger functions.
- Ensure donation records are accurate and up to date and that donors receive their tax-deductible receipts on a timely basis.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and ensure alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
- Forecast and manage cash flow to meet operational needs and strategic objectives.
- Optimize investment strategies while ensuring the organization's financial stability.
- To work with the Executive Director and respective managers to develop, prepare and organise materials for proposals, and submit and monitor grant applications.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and governance policies (e.g. Personal Data Protection Act, Charities Act etc).
- Ensure timely filing of annual return and adherence of the Governance Evaluation Checklist.
- Coordinate annual external and internal audits, liaise with auditors, assisting with audit requests and implement recommendations to improve internal controls.
- Oversee the provision of human resources support to Executive Director and management in all aspects of HR including employee relations, performance management, talent management, reward and manpower planning.
- Oversee the outsource IT vendor to manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
- Oversee administrative functions, including coordinating with other departments on facilities management, office operations, front desk, office supplies,equipment, petty cash count and vendor relationships.
