As a Test Engineer, you’ll work on systems that enable millions of transactions, helping to build a smarter and more connected Singapore. Your role in ensuring high-quality systems will have a direct and positive impact on public services, making them more efficient and reliable for everyone.
What You’ll Do
1. Testing Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the end-to-end testing activities of an integrated e-payment system.
- Plan and execute testing strategies, ensuring alignment with business and system requirements.
2. Test Preparation and Execution
- Design and develop comprehensive test cases tailored to system designs.
- Prepare test environments, execute test procedures, and automate solutions using scripting or programming languages.
- Optimize system performance through rigorous testing and fine-tuning.
3. Quality Assurance and Defect Management
- Create traceability matrices to ensure all requirements are tested effectively.
- Log, track, and resolve defects to ensure quality standards are met.
- Conduct root cause analysis on defects and address gaps to enhance test efficiency.
4. Collaboration and Documentation
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders during test reviews.
- Develop detailed design documents and user manuals for test automation solutions to support end users.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree in Information Technology or Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in testing and test automation solutions for devices (UI-based or embedded) and back-office systems.
- Familiarity with the full system development lifecycle—from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Certification in software testing is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Strong capabilities in test planning, design, and execution.
- Experience in automating test solutions using scripting or programming languages.
- Familiarity with diverse testing phases, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Performance Testing.
- Background in micro-payments or automatic fare collection systems using smart cards is an advantage.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
