Requirements:

• Familiarity with front-end development frameworks such as React.js / Next.js.

• Familiarity in server-side web application development using Node.js and Typescript.js.

• Familiarity with working on CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with leveraging on cloud playorms such as Amazon AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud PlaYorm (GCP), etc.

• Familiarity with Javascript unit testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.

• Familiarity with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda, and ECS.

• Familiarity with Agile and Con9nuous Integra9on and Delivery Prac9ces.

• Familiarity with version control using Git.

• Willingness to work on different platforms to contribute to a dynamic and cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum software development experience:

o Associate consultant: 2 years.

o Consultant: 2 – 3 years.

o Senior consultant: 3 – 5 years.

• Strong fundamentals in Javascript & Typescript.

• Familiarity with building reusable web components is advantageous.

• Knowledge of search engine components and how they work (crawl, index, search).

• Experience with Test-Driven Development and Behaviour-Driven Development. • Familiarity with Docker containers.

(a) Responsibilities:

Working in a team to design and develop a real-time, reliable and secured e-payment devices that process millions of public transport commuters’ cards daily.

The activities required to be performed shall include the following:

• Requirements gathering.

• Design and develop software applications for embedded devices.

• Implement and optimize communication protocols (e.g.TCP/IP, HTTPS, FTPS/SFTP, MQTT-S) to establish secure and reliable connections between embedded devices and on-premises/cloud platforms.

• Conduct thorough testing, debugging and troubleshooting of embedded devices to identify and resolve issues related to functionality, connectivity, performance and reliability.

• Preparation and submission of deliverables throughout the Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) such as Business Rules, Software Requirement Specifications, Software Architecture

Document, Design Specification, Interface Specifications, Source Codes, Testing Specification, Operation and Maintenance Manual, Training Manual and others documents as required in the SDLC processes.

• Assist day-to-day application support issues.

• Liaise with users on the requirement testing and production issues.

(b) Qualifications & Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant discipline.

• Developed software in at least one full software development lifecycle.

• Experience in writing Requirements Specification, Use Cases, Design Documentation, and designing software using object-oriented software design and UML modeling

• Good knowledge and experience in C++ on embedded platforms (e.g., QNX, Vxworks, Embedded Linux).

• Experience in multi-threading, socket programming, and serial/USB communication.

• At least 5 years’ experience in object-oriented software development.

• Prior experience in the following areas of the Scrum AGILE methodology process is a plus:

o Scrum AGILE methodology process

o Develop and integrate embedded devices with cloud platforms

o Develop and integrate vehicle-side information technology for public transport (ITxPT) services, like GNSS and AVMS services.

(a) Responsibilities:

The scope of Project Engineer shall include but not limited to the following:

• Manage the document review process, including collating comments from all reviewing parties and ensuring proper follow-up to the review comments;

• Manage and coordinate the the design, installation, testing and commissioning activity, including coordination with all stakeholders (contractors, site owners, end users);

• Liaise with the contractors and stakeholders to monitor and update the programme and work schedule;

• Assist the project team in terms of project delivery;

• Prepare project summary reports for progress reporting; and

• Manage the administrative activities of the project, including coordinating meetings, preparing meeting records, preparing the presentation material and drafting letters for issuance.

(b) Qualifications & Requirements:

• Recognised diploma/degree in Engineering or related discipline;

• Relevant project management experience in Rail Electrical & Mechanical systems;

• Relevant experience in the Automatic Fare Collection system will be an advantage;

• Proficient in Microsoft Office for Windows;

• Highly motivated, pro-active and able to work independently;

• Able to collaborate and work in a team;

• Able to cope with flexible working hours;

• Be expected to perform night works during engineering hours;
