As a SAF Fitness Trainer, you shall be assisting the Senior Fitness Trainer for the conducting of fitness training and fitness tests, the check-in and check-out process, the provisions of emergency medical procedures, risk assessment and etc. You shall also be placed on a duty roster for different roles, including but not limited to Duty Instructor and Gym Supervisor. You are expected to perform your functions and roles in accordance to the operation guidelines. This is an outpost position to be posted to one of the Fitness Conditioning Centre at Kranji or Bedok Camp. You shall be going through internal trainings and induction program. You are required to successfully completed these programs before your official deployment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in all check-in and check-out process of all trainings and fitness tests.
• Organize and conduct fitness training and tests in accordance to the lesson plans and guidelines
• Assist in emergency response procedure in times of need, including activating ambulance, perform CPR, operate AED
• Perform after-use check on all equipment at the test center to ensure the usability
• Write incident reports, including injuries, test violations and any other occurrences of out-of-ordinary situations.
• Perform roles as Duty Instructor and Gym Supervisor

MUST HAVE

Minimum one of the following:

1. Completed Fitness Instructor Course (FIC) accredited by SportSG, or
2. NITEC in Fitness Training by the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), or
3. SAF Specialist Cadet Course (Fitness) / Basic Fitness Specialist Course Certificate, or
4. Completed Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) PTI course, or
5. American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Personal Trainer, or
6. American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Group Fitness Instructor, or
7. Any other reputable fitness certificates

• Valid CPR+AED certificate
• Passed IPPT (if eligible)
• Completed Full Time NS (if eligible)
• Body Mass Index (BMI) of less than 25

The title for this position is Fitness Instructor (Project Management). You must have worked at least 3 years in event management performing roles in bidding, planning, managing resources as well as managing the event day. And you must be someone with great passion in sport and fitness. Having obtained any fitness certificates will be added advantage but not mandatory as we have planned for courses to let you achieve this. However, you must be ready at all times to be deployed to various part of Singapore as part of the project manpower.

You shall be required to perform 2 roles, as a project executive, or as a fitness trainer in to conduct workout sessions (for physical and virtual sessions) and to stand in for absentees. You shall be working 6 days a week and up to 44 hours per week. Your official work time is from 11:00AM to 08:00PM but you shall be flexible in your time as and when it is needed. We are in a fast-moving industry, you ought to be someone who may keep up.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the manpower required for various projects, including deployment and recruitment of new staffs. You shall also provide counselling to the manpower that fail to comply with the requirement or the procedures and guidelines of the projects.
• Conduct induction for trainers and facilitators newly join.
• Be the project manager on the ground. You must be prepared for the need to be at site to manage issues and problems as and when these arise. This is not a back-office position.
• Monitor the quality of events and implement procedures and guidelines to improve
• Investigate and write incident reports
• Compile monthly reports for the commercial clients
• Be a Fitness Trainer for workout sessions; conduct and lead a group of participants to do workout.

Requirement

• At least 3 years of work experience in event management
• Having a Certified Personal Trainer certificate or other fitness certificates is an added advantage
• At minimum a Diploma in any business or marketing studies, or a Diploma in Sport Science or equivalent.
• Good influencing and communication skill
• Good written and spoken English
• Able to adapt to busy and fast-moving work environment
• To be flexible in work hours as and when is needed

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of in/ out processing counters.

· Prepare and download the nominal roll before the start of operation for use to in-process NSmen.

· Take temperature of NSmen and only allow those within the acceptable range to proceed for training/ test.

· Conduct photo identification of the NSman diligently, matching it with the NSman and the name in the nominal roll.

· Issue assigned number tag/ wristband to the NSman for IPPT/ NS FIT.

· Collect back number tag/ wristband from NSmen.

· Confirm IPPT results with NSmen.

· Upload result/ attendance into the system, check and ensure all results/ attendance are captured, and submit for endorsement.

· Clean up all number tag/ wristband before storing for next operation.

· Prepare daily, monthly and quarterly reports as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Having a nitec or higher nitec or Diploma in business admin or business services or sports Management or any equivalent discipline.

· Required skill(s): MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel

· Have passion in Fitness. Active in sports. “Love and Live” in Sports and fitness. Successful administrator could gradually be progressed as a Physical Fitness Trainer.

· Strong communication (written and spoken), interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills.

· Meticulous and organized with high level of self motivation and initiative.

· Team player with good communications skills

· Possess a positive working attitude and is able to work in both in team and independently
