Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance efforts for the production of state-of-the-art nanoparticle synthesis equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in engineering or a related field, coupled with a deep understanding of quality management principles and practices. This role requires a hands-on approach, involving direct participation in assembly, calibration, and quality assurance processes.
Responsibilities
Quality Management System:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust quality management system (QMS) aligned with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Oversee the documentation and control of quality records, procedures, and work2020 instructions.
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with QMS requirements and identify areas for improvement.
Quality Assurance
- Lead inspections, tests, and verifications of products and processes.
- Collaborate to ensure product designs and manufacturing processes meet quality standards.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
Hands-on Involvement:
- Actively participate in the assembly, calibration, and testing of nanoparticle synthesis equipment and systems.
- Conduct detailed inspections and functional tests to ensure product quality and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during production or testing.
- Implement 5S for continuous improvement of work quality across production and quality management
Supplier Quality:
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on quality performance and delivery capabilities.
- Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions as needed to ensure consistent quality.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed of relevant industry regulations, standards, and certifications (e.g., ISO, CE marking, FDA).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain necessary documentation.
Continuous Improvement:
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Lead or participate in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in quality management, preferably in equipment for nanomaterial synthesis
- Strong understanding of quality management principles, tools, and techniques.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
- Hands-on experience with assembly, calibration, and testing procedures for nanoparticle synthesis equipment.
- Ability to work in a highly agile start-up environment
