The role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain valuable Corporate Actions and Projects experience in the dynamic world of securities brokerage.
Key Responsibilities:
- As the company is licensed to deal in securities, collective investment schemes, the candidate should be able to perform end-to-end trade settlement, knowledge of corporate action of Equities, Mutual funds, Options.
- Check and verify all securities/trade transactions are completed, settlements instructions are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review all trade matching reports and ensure all failed trades are promptly resolved.
- Ensure funding sufficiency for trade settlement.
- Processing of Settlement/Corporate action events in an accurate, timely manner and adhere to deadlines.
- Reconciliation trade/shares, corporate actions.
- Adhering to control procedures, identifying gaps, and ensuring controls are implemented to close those gaps.
- Interpret data and make necessary recommendations for the launch of new products/services and upgraded platforms.
- Adhering to control procedures, manage the escalation and seek to resolve all requests/inquiries/issues/errors, identify policy gaps and formulate policies to streamline processes.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience with at least 3 years of relevant experience in Equities or Derivatives in either retail or institutional.
- Trade support/settlement experience in either stockbroking firms, custodian/banks or clearinghouse.
- Possess knowledge and experience in ETF/Options/ Mutual funds.
- Understands the entire trade flow from front to back and the reconciliation process.
- Knowledge of payment and receipts skillsets.
- Attention to detail and intermediate problem-solving skills and be able to multi-task well.
- Fluent in Mandarin & English (verbal & written) is a must as communication with counterparts based in China is essential.
- Enjoys engaging in teamwork with a positive and constructive attitude.
