Security Supervisor

Summary of Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are as listed below, but not limited to these:

• Report for duty as per schedule in roster and be in attendance for the daily 15 minutes pre and post shift briefing
• Don essential company issued equipment such as Mobitalk, Bluetooth device, torchlight and pocket mask during duty
• Be in-charge of the Hotel Security Control Room as well as for the day to day operations
• Ensure all official security documents are handled accurately in accordance to SOP
• Manage access points as assigned to ensure all entries are authorized
• Maintain keen vigilance at the pass counters where colleagues, part-timers, casual labors, vendors, contractors, and visitors check in
• Manage the Visitor Management System for visitors, contractors, and vendors
• Manage the Casual labor system for casual labors and part-timers
• Monitor CCTV coverage within the hotel property and highlight any issues observed
• Perform static lobby / convention Centre coverage and duty
• Perform roving security and safety clocking patrol within and around the hotel premises
• Perform patrol on guest floors and the heart of house
• Perform enforcement tasks as assigned and be at deployment as per deployment schedule
• Ensure security system are in working order, and if not, to highlight to Assistant Security Manager and collaborate to raise maintenance reports
• Coordinate Night Transport for colleagues
• Respond to all security, safety and medical emergencies as soon as possible where assistance is required
• Be part of the Hotel Emergency Action Team (HEAT Team) / Company Emergency Response Team (CERT Team) to respond to emergencies
• Conduct inventory checks of keys and passes
• Handle Loss & Found findings, reports and inquiries
• Provide lift control and VIP
• Perform First Aid/CPR/AED if required
• Respond to and resolve safe box issues without delay
• Respond to and resolve door lock issues without delay
• Conduct crowd control and ushering duties
• Gather and document information and facts upon responding to security, safety and medical emergencies
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by the management of the hotel
• Manage and address all alarms on the Fire & Life Saving System (FPLS) as per SOP
• Manage and address all alarms on the duress and emergency systems
• In-depth knowledge of CCTV system for preliminary investigation and training purposes

Job Description:

• To assist the Housekeeping Manager in maintaining the highest standard of room and public area cleanliness and appearance, guest service as well as engendering team spirit and motivation in all staff
• To work closely with other departments of the hotel, and attend regular meetings on a periodical basis in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Housekeeper
• Assist in evaluating and motivating Housekeeping staff.
• To perform other secondary appropriate duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Housekeeper.
• To organize new staff with uniform fitting and replacements as required.
• Assist in control of guestrooms & public areas supplies. Respecting PAR levels and order on time. 
• To familiarize with all security & emergency procedures.
• To be committed to working with staff, clients, suppliers, and the community in conserving natural resources and preserving the quality of the environment in which we operate

This position is available from January 2025 onwards.

The position is responsible for ensuring the ongoing impeccable cleanliness and organisation of public spaces and facilities in accordance with established standards of the hotel. He/she needs to maintain the impeccable cleanliness in his/her area of responsibility as per hotel standards related to the nightly deep cleaning by outside companies as per contractual agreement in public spaces and back-of-house areas.

Primary Responsibilities

Supervises The Daily Housekeeping Operations For Public Area

• Supervises the upkeep of the entire hotel premises to maintain an immaculate and luxurious state according to Raffles Hotel Singapore standards. Priority and full attention is given for VIP events.
• Monitors the smooth operations of public area team by ensuring all tasks are completed in adherence with the code of ethics as issued by Raffles Hotel Singapore.
• Upholds a flawless impression and perception of the Raffles Hotel Singapore products, services and colleagues.
• Establishes the foundations of public area operations through detailed planning of work and maintenance schedules, supervision of the team and proper organisation and delegation of duties.
• Possesses good knowledge with cleaning techniques and use of necessary equipment to perform deep cleaning around the public areas.

• Communicates verbally and in writing to the morning manager all relevant occurrences or problems encountered related to the hotel’s or the department’s function.

Provides An Experience That Meets Guests’ Expectations

• Ensures guests receive the experiences as detailed in brand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Raffles Hotel Singapore local SOP as well as Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards, and aims to achieve the targets set by management.
• Analyses and responds to guest feedback to ensure that guests are satisfied. Is continuously committed to improving the quality of products, services and performance of team members.

Supervision Of The Housekeeping Team

• Leads the Public Area Team with a Heartist® approach and constantly seeks to create an all-encompassing and welcoming working environment for a multi-cultural and diverse group of Housekeeping colleagues. He/she will focus on the well-being, safety, training and development needs of colleagues.
• Plans for a 24-hours shift coverage of the Public Area team and is able to personally cover any role or duty in their absence.
• Oversees the provision of cleaning supplies, cleaning equipment, linen and chemicals.
