MNC (subsidiary firm) specialise in low voltage electrical connector (specialist manufacturer of hazardous area products including lighting, control stations, junction boxes & enclosures) is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (for Asia) to join their team to develop their products specifications, customer portfolio, distributors and sales in Asia in a niche and complex industry (Oil & Gas offshore and onshore, mining, cement, chemical and pharmaceutical, marine and defense).

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for selling the products and services offered by the Company, building the loyalty of customers already acquired, aiming at customer satisfaction, continually finding unique ways to engage new customers, increasing the size of the business in the geographical area of his responsibility, in order to reach or exceed the turnover and margin targets set by the Sales Management for the regional/customer base entrusted to him/her, while respecting the company's values and ethics

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and expand the customer base in the regional areas (Malayisa, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea) assigned to him/her
• Manage the relationship with customers and all business negotiations with them
• In accordance with the shared business strategies, finds suitable ways and consistently brings new business opportunities from the area/customers entrusted to him/her into the company
• Developing specific sales strategies for the main area/customers (but not limited to Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, S.Korea) entrusted to him/her and putting them into practice with concrete tactics and actions
• Weekly visits to target OEMs, System integrators, Contractors, M&E consultants and EPC in different fields
• If required, help set up an indirect sales network, selecting possible agents/distributors and submitting them for approval by the Sales Management
• Managing and coordinating the activity of agents and distributors in the area of his/her responsibility;
• Gathering feedback from customers and the market regarding the products/services offered and reporting these within the company;
• Prepare timely and accurate sales reports
• Closely involved in monthly projects meeting and discussions with the factory in Europe
• Propose the sales budget providing concrete elements for its discussion and subsequent approval
• Keeping abreast of the products/services offered by competitors and their sales trends in the area of competence.
• Ensuring timely follow-up of the sales offers sent

Requirements:-

• Minimum Diploma preferably in Electrical Engineering
• Fluent in English written and spoken
• Minimum 7 years of working experience preferably in related field

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Present, promote and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers in the cleanroom, biotechnology and pharmaceutical production industries
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans for products offered and agencies assigned
• Engage with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, services or solutions that will meet those needs.
• Analyse the territory and market’s potential, track sales and status reports
• Develop strong technical know-how on products and applications to support and effectively engage prospects and clients
• Foster and enhance good relationship with all of our customers and grow product portfolio for the team

REQUIREMENTS

Incumbent should ideally be from a Sales Engineer background, experienced in sales related to cleanroom/industrial/pharmaceutical industries. Sales experience is in relations to capital equipment (CAPEX)/ Engineering/integration-related solutions, unlike benchtop devices.

• Minimum diploma in Engineering, Biotechnology or related disciplines
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales environment within related industries (e.g.: healthcare/ cleanroom/ pharmaceutical/ industrial equipment)
• Has strong sales track records
• Experienced in tender and request for quotation (RFQ) preparation and costing
• Preferably with cleanroom or pharmaceutical equipment sales experience
• Good communication & presentation skills (well versed in English – both spoken and written)
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Finance Department
• Assist in managing cash flow
• Manage full set of accounts
• Review accounts payable entries and approve payments and reimbursements
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and ensure timely collections
• Prepare monthly management reports promptly
• Develop yearly forecasts and budgets
• Calculate commissions for sales staff
• Review and file quarterly GST returns
• Handle applications for bank guarantees and letters of credit
