Position Overview:
The Key Account Manager (KAM) will play a critical role in managing and nurturing relationships with high-value clients in the commercial and industrial sectors. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the sales, technical specifications, and ongoing support of control panels and switch boxes, ensuring that the products meet the specific needs of clients who rely on these products to manage power distribution for their machinery. The KAM will serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management & Relationship BuildingAct as the primary point of contact for key commercial and industrial accounts, managing all aspects of the relationship from sales to post-sales support.
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
Understand the client’s business goals, challenges, and needs, and offer tailored solutions using the company’s control panels and switch box products.
- Sales Growth & Revenue GenerationDrive sales growth within assigned key accounts by identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products and services.
Prepare and present customized proposals and quotations to key clients, ensuring alignment with their technical requirements and budget.
Negotiate pricing and contractual terms to ensure profitability while maintaining competitive positioning within the industry.
- Customer Retention & SatisfactionEnsure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction by overseeing the entire order process, from inquiry to delivery.
Proactively address any customer concerns or issues, working with internal teams (manufacturing, logistics, technical support) to resolve them promptly.
Regularly check in with clients to assess their satisfaction and anticipate future needs.
- Collaborative Cross-Functional CoordinationWork closely with the engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure the technical specifications and project timelines for key accounts are met.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies that promote the company’s products to existing and potential customers.
Provide feedback to product development teams on customer needs and market trends, contributing to product enhancements or new solutions.
- Market and Product ExpertiseStay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in control panels, switch boxes, and industrial electrical products to effectively communicate the benefits to clients.
Provide technical support and guidance to clients, helping them understand product features, capabilities, and applications for their operations.
- Reporting and ForecastingMaintain accurate records of all customer interactions, sales activities, and key account information in the CRM system.
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates for senior management.
Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for each account, ensuring that objectives are met.
- Contract Negotiation & Renewal ManagementLead contract negotiations with key accounts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and maintaining positive business relationships.
Oversee contract renewals, ensuring timely and smooth transitions for ongoing projects and services.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience in sales, account management, or technical fields within manufacturing or industrial environments is also acceptable.
- Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably within the manufacturing, electrical, or industrial sectors.
Proven track record of managing key accounts and delivering sales growth within a B2B environment.
Experience with control panels, switch boxes, or other electrical distribution systems is highly preferred.
- Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage relationships at all levels of an organization.
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to craft value-driven proposals.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Technical understanding of electrical systems, control panels, switch boxes, and power distribution solutions.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
