They are seeking a Manager to join their growing team. This role involves hands-on expertise in mechanical and electrical systems within data centers, including Air Handling Units, Chillers, and Fire Detection systems. Experience in fast-paced design/build environments and project upgrades is crucial, alongside strong familiarity with building codes and regulatory requirements. The Job
- Project Scope Definition and Support: Define the project scope and offer technical support during construction. Collaborate with commissioning teams to ensure system installations meet operational performance standards.
- Process Evaluation and Efficiency: Review and refine facility processes by incorporating industry best practices to drive operational efficiencies.
- Mechanical Design Collaboration: Lead the mechanical design process for data centers, working with various disciplines to create detailed construction documents.
- Regional Data Centre Support: Support the development and implementation of multiple data Centre campuses across different regions.
- Regional Infrastructure Requirements: Establish region-specific infrastructure requirements and review designs to assess their impact on data Centre operations.
- Critical Equipment Design: Oversee the design of key data Centre equipment, such as air handling units, cooling systems, fire detection, and plumbing.
- On-Site Review and Evaluation: Perform on-site evaluations, assisting field engineers with system audits and startup processes as needed.
- Mechanical Systems Specification: Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to specify both upstream and downstream mechanical systems for the data Centre.
- Documentation Preparation: Prepare essential project documents, including work scopes, engineering reports, budgets, schedules, and commissioning plans.
The Talent
- Degree in Mechanical engineering or relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC design, mission critical design, construction and operation.
- In depth understanding of critical data centre mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Experience with fast-track design/build projects and or multiple significant upgrade projects.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
