About the Team
Join the APAC Legal team which leads all aspects of legal support for Adobe teams in the Asia Pacific region (main market areas include Australia, New Zealand, ASEAN countries, India, Korea, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan). We are a highly collaborative team and our mission is to play a key role in regional growth and give our business partners the best possible experience in working with Legal.
The Opportunity
The Legal Counsel will be located in Singapore, reporting into the Senior Managing Counsel in Singapore. You will provide legal support primarily for the South-East Asia region, with opportunities to cross support other markets within Asia Pacific. You will act as a Legal partner for Sales teams in region, providing guidance to and mentoring sales personnel to close deals for the company by employing ethical and sound business practices. This involves working on enterprise licensing transactions (for both software and cloud services), channel partner agreements, consulting/professional services agreements, etc.
Other responsibilities include the following:
- Supporting anti-piracy efforts and license compliance programs
- Keeping up with legal developments in region and ensuring that Adobe’s agreements and business practices are in line with such developments
- Supporting the procurement organization
- Leading or participating in global cross-functional projects to drive efficiency improvements
What You Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's of Law or equivalent degree
- Licensed to practise law in Singapore, Malaysia or other relevant APAC jurisdictions.
- About 6-8 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house
- Experience and proficiency in technology licensing contracts, intellectual property law, and privacy is a plus. Otherwise, demonstrate keen interest in these areas.

- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills in English. Working level proficiency in another SEA country language (e.g. Bahasa, Thai) is a distinct advantage.
- Strong project management skills and strong attention to detail.
- Great interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, which are essential to thrive in a global, multi-cultural environment.
