Job description
- Analyse cost comparisons, providing critical insights and forecasts for financial planning.
- Take charge of acquiring quotes and spearhead negotiations with sub-contractors and suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing.
- Oversee the measurement of materials and workmanship, applying expert skills in quantity take-offs for accurate budgeting.
- Direct the preparation of variation orders, claims, and final account settlements, ensuring financial compliance.
- Manage the process of sub-contractor payments, guaranteeing timely and equitable distribution of funds in line with contractual agreements.
- Provide mentorship and assign tasks to junior QS staff.
- Work closely with project management teams to align financial strategy with project objectives, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.
- Conduct risk assessments pertaining to cost-related factors.
- Assist operation team in letter / report writing and correspondences
- Undertake other QS duties as and when assigned by top management
- Other QS-related tasks
