Who we are:
Automata Network (https://www.ata.network/) is a machine attestation layer that integrates TEEs into decentralized systems. This includes Multi-Provers for Stage 2 rollups like Scroll and Linea and TEE-capable GPUs with World (formerly Worldcoin) Foundation. Blockchains rely on hardware as their foundation, making it crucial to ensure the integrity and authenticity of these machines. Automata’s Proof of Machinehood enables onchain verification of authentic hardware through hardware attestations, providing a secure, verifiable base for protocols, developers, and users.
Established in 2019, Automata Network is also a part of Substrate Builders Program, Web3 Foundation Grants Program, Berkeley Blockchain Xcelerator, as well as industry organizations including Rust Foundation, and League of Entropy. The project has also secured multi-million funding support from top investors in early 2021.
As an integral part of the wider marketing team, you will have the opportunity to define Automata’s visual identity and bring our brand narrative to life. As part of the role, you will help create engaging and impactful visuals for our website, blog posts, presentations, social media and more. You will also help develop and maintain Automata’s websites and user interfaces, so having a strong preference for meticulous attention to detail will be highly advantageous. Candidates for this position will go through a multi-phase interview process that may require demonstrations of skill through various assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- 2D/3D Visuals / KV’s: Conceptualize and develop visually compelling, on-brand illustrations and visuals to populate our blog posts, websites and other media;
- Media Design: Conceptualize, design, and animate assets as part of the marketing plan. This includes icons, social media graphics, GIFs, and infographics;
- Motion Graphics: Design and produce engaging motion graphics and edit high-quality videos that align with brand guidelines and project objectives.
- Brand Identity: Develop and maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistent brand identity across all owned channels;
- Product Development: Provide resources for landing pages and microsites while keeping in mind good practices of UX/UI & brand identity;
- Brand Management: Create and manage all brand collateral including logos, presentations and pitch decks for internal reference and external use;
- Trend Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the table;
- Feedback and Iteration: Accept feedback gracefully and iteratively refine designs to meet project requirements and end-result expectations;
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to support the Marketing and Developer team;
Desired Skill Set:
- Creativity: A strong ability to think creatively and deliver fresh, visually appealing and up-to-date design concepts;
- Graphic Design Expertise: A deep understanding of design principles and proficiency in graphic design software & tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, etc; (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and others)
- Motion Graphics: Familiarity with motion graphics and video editing software;
- Digital Proficiency: Experience in designing for digital platforms, including social media, websites, and email marketing;
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and understand project requirements;
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to design, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all materials delivered;
- Time Management: Excellent time-management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently;
- Problem-Solving: The ability to identify design challenges and develop / deliver creative solutions.
Standout Skills:
- Web3-Savvy: Familiarity with blockchain / cryptocurrency and the existing ecosystem;
- Code-Aware: Prior knowledge about coding languages (HTML, CSS, Javascript), its limitations, and the delivery of visual elements optimized for code usage;
- UX/UI Conscious: Prior experience with UX/UI principles and good practices;
- Media Copywriting: A strong track record of communicating ideas through exciting and engaging texts, demonstrating the ability to craft persuasive and engaging copy that resonates with the target audience.
Requirements:
- Area Experience: At least 1 year of relevant work experience in media design, digital/web design or illustration role positions;
- Design-Related Degree: Bachelor's / Technician’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field is preferred;
- Portfolio: A robust portfolio demonstrating your design skills and technical abilities in digital visual communication, showcasing a variety of projects and design styles.
