Job Overview:
As a Quality Assurance Executive at AFF, you will be instrumental in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Food Safety Management System (FSMS). You will oversee the creation and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all products meet the stringent quality and safety standards that our industry demands. Your role will involve active participation on the production floor to ensure SOPs are adhered to, and you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in our quality processes. Experience in a flavor company is mandatory for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- FSMS Implementation and Management: Develop, implement, and manage AFF’s Food Safety Management System (FSMS), ensuring it meets all regulatory and industry standards. You will be responsible for keeping the system up to date and ensuring that all quality processes align with FSMS requirements.
- SOP Development: Write, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that govern all aspects of production and quality assurance. Ensure that SOPs are clear, comprehensive, and effectively implemented across the organization.
- Quality Control: Oversee and implement quality control processes throughout the production lifecycle, ensuring all products meet the required specifications and standards.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory standards, including but not limited to ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and any relevant flavor industry regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all quality assurance activities, including product testing results, audits, and corrective actions.
- Testing & Analysis: Conduct regular testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Audit Management: Lead internal and external audits, prepare for customer audits, and ensure that all corrective actions are effectively implemented. Certification as an Internal Auditor is highly desirable.
- Supplier Quality Assurance: Work closely with suppliers to ensure that all raw materials meet AFF's stringent quality standards. This includes conducting supplier audits and managing supplier quality agreements.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the quality assurance process and implement changes to enhance efficiency and product quality. Proactively suggest and drive quality initiatives.
- Production Floor Presence: Be actively involved on the production floor, working closely with production staff to ensure SOPs and quality standards are maintained at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the production, R&D, and regulatory teams to ensure seamless integration of quality assurance practices across all departments.
- Customer Feedback: Address and resolve customer quality complaints in a timely manner, ensuring that any recurring issues are thoroughly investigated and resolved.
- Willingness to Learn: Stay updated on the latest industry trends and best practices in quality assurance, and be open to continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance/regulatory role within the food manufacturing industry is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of flavor production processes and industry-specific quality standards.
- In-depth knowledge of FSMS, FSSC 22000, HACCP, and other relevant quality management systems.
- Proven experience in writing and implementing SOPs.
- Certification as an Internal Auditor is highly desirable.
- Experience with regulatory compliance in the flavor industry, including knowledge of international standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- A proactive approach with a strong presence on the production floor and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
