THE ROLE:
Responsible to manage Testing hardware and Lab Equipment commodity as the global lead for the
company. You will also be responsible to develop a global procurement strategy; implementing a supplier development program that has an integrated long-term approach on cost, quality, and service.

You should possess strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills who can interface well with internal and external partners across AMD.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with stakeholder to understand and set cost targets for managed categories; Lead competitive bid process & analysis, price negotiation, cost reduction and business awards for the commodity with key suppliers.
- Good understanding on Contract Management processes to ensure right agreement is in-placed with the vendors.
- Wider knowledge and understanding on Equipment configurations/specifications to ensure best Total cost of ownership is being achieved.
- Manage CAPEX expenditure through cost reduction activities and negotiations.
- Manage cross-functional and cross site business processes to support operational (PO) process execution. Close collaboration with stakeholders is a must.
- Understand industry trends through on-going market research and benchmarking.
- Execute all activities associated with Procure-to-Pay such that orders are issued and invoiced in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate efficient and effective use of AMD strategic sourcing and Procure-to-Pay processes.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders on all levels.
- Able to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel as a team lead.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- BS/BA degree plus minimum 4 years of experience in a related technical (preferably in mechanical) or business field in Procurement, Materials or Logistics Management with preferred >6 years relevant experience or equivalent OR
- Diploma in Engineering, Purchasing, Materials or Logistics Management with preferred >6 years relevant experience preferred or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of Supply Chain Management (SCM) and commodity sourcing, preferably on Test Equipment.
- Demonstrated effective advanced computer skills.
- Effective communication & interpersonal skills.
- Effective leadership skills.
- Effective project management skills.
- Good knowledge in Managing International Contracts.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Specific education or experience in SCM preferred.
- Understanding of global/regional markets and cultures preferred.
- Green Belt certification preferred.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- BS/BA degree in a related technical or business field or MBA plus experience in a related technical or business field.
