Environmental Strategy and Compliance

• Supports and execute the implementation of EHS strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy/ plan.
• Manage site’s EHS protocols; including fire safety matters to the requirements of site & corporate directives, local legislations and other requirements (i.e. REACH, RoHS, Conflict of Minerals, OHSA and etc.)
• Follow up mandatory notifications with regards to licenses/ permits and relevant WSH reports (i.e. iReporting, Medical Examinations submissions etc.) to ensure compliance with relevant legal regulations related to our factory operations.
• Implement operational management practices in line with ISO14001/ 45001 standards, including document management, record storage, and emergency response.

Consultant and Government Coordination

• Select and collaborate with EHS consultants as needed.
• Support on-time renewal of all licenses and permit without any lapse.
• Aggregate and report environmental impact data in accordance to ISO14001 Standards and Corporate Directives
• Sustenance of EHS rules and regulations with respect to the additions, changes and reviews by local mandatory Agencies for compliance and governance.
• Manage incident reports and ensure follow-up actions (reactive/preventive) are implemented.
• Manage EHS documentation and ensure up-to-date.
• Respond to EHS-related questionnaires from customers and government agencies.

Environmental Health and Safety Facilities Management

• Oversee the management of EHS facilities, including renewable energy installations.
• Develop specifications, request price quotes, and prepare proposal documents for EHS projects.
• Supervise addition/ alteration works within the facility; with regards to safety and health management, inspections and audits.
• Organize monthly EHS committee meeting and EHS inspections
• Develop and conduct EHS&F trainings, liaise training schedule with operations team and facilitate trainings as required.

Industrial Waste Management

• Manage operations related to industrial waste, ensuring proper handling and disposal.

EHS Policies and ESG Initiatives

• Collaborate, Develop and implement essential Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures to meet regulatory and industry standards.
• Supports the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, focusing on sustainability projects and reporting.

International Collaboration and Risk Management

• Collaborate with international factory teams to conduct risk assessments, improve emergency response protocols, and investigate incidents to prevent future occurrences.
• Lead and manage Risk Assessment (RA) teams; including reviewing, control and maintenance of RA reports.
• Support the operations in identifying, assessing any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or process, risk management and consulting

Project and Mechanical Improvement Management

• Oversee project management for new buildings and facilities, including redevelopment projects.
• Implement mechanical improvement projects by planning, procuring contracts, and executing upgrades to mechanical services infrastructure in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
• Manage contractors undertaking new and/ or improvement projects and maintenance/ service term contractors. This shall include the monitoring of the contractor’s performance and administration from start till the completion of work.
• Handle and manage contractors, and their deliverables according to requirements, approved quotation &/or agreement.

Perform any other daily administrative tasks but not limited to the above, which may vary based on daily situations and needs.

Facility operation

• Support in managing the manufacturing and R&D facilities of an FCBGA substrate factory to ensure world-class facilities.
• Support in maintaining smooth operation and maintenance of critical system including:
• Clean room environment management
• HVAC, exhaust, and related mechanical systems, including scrubbers
• Electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage)
• Process cooling water systems
• Pure water, wastewater treatment, and reclaim plant operations
• Chemical delivery systems (e.g., resist, plating/developing solutions, stripping, etching, flux cleaning) and bulk gas (e.g., nitrogen) delivery
• Building management and maintenance
• Support in maintaining continuous supply of utilities and ensuring all facilities meet performance specifications to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Support utility / process / system energy efficiency program – compilation of data, analysis of data and recommendation to stakeholders to reduce wastage or find alternative energy efficient methodology
• Able to formulate effective reporting and tracking systems for monitoring of system performance and capacity usage. Recommend and implement improvement/enhancement projects where appropriate.
• Knowledge of all relevant standards, legislations, codes of practice etc and ensure their compliance.

Project Coordination and Construction

• Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, business units, and other stakeholders to oversee the construction and setup of facility projects.

• Achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) set by your departmental head to sustain top-tier facilities systems.
• Overseeing projects for upgrading, expanding, and improving system reliability, reducing operational costs, and safeguarding company assets.

Team Development and Management

• Provide guidance and training on the systems in charge to fellow colleagues so as ensure adequate working knowledge and system backup

Facilities Budget Management

• Support in the plan, forecast, and manage budgets and cost control for facility operations.

Energy and Space Management

• Support in managing energy consumption, implement strategies to enhance energy efficiency, and reduce operational costs.
• Support in implementation of EnMS (Energy Management System) for monitoring, controlling and conserving energy use in our building or organization.

Documentation and Quality Control

• Ensure historical data is documented for traceability and maintain and regularly update line drawings.
• Support in developing and implementing methods and priorities to ensure optimal facility performance and avoid unscheduled interruptions.
• Support in developing and implementing documentation systems that comply with QS 9000 and ISO 14001 standards.

Continuous Improvement and Methodologies

• Utilize methodologies such as FMEA, SPC, DOE, and PDCA to train employees, enhance problem-solving skills, and improve work methods.

Safety and Security

• Support in creating and enforcing safe work procedures and security policies to protect personnel and property.
• Support in Implementing strict safety rules and managing physical security measures, access control, and surveillance.

Preventive Maintenance

As an Engineer, R&D Equipment, you will oversee the selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning of equipment for the FCBGA substrate production facility. Your responsibilities include managing preventive maintenance, calibration, and plant automation systems, such as automatic transport and measurement technologies. You will also monitor and report on equipment performance and capacity utilization to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
