Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Endodontic Dental Assistant to join our team and assist our Endodontist with dental procedures. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a range of clinical skills, maintain a sterile and safe environment, and possess excellent communication abilities to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Skills:
- Assist the endodontist in performing endodontic procedures, including root canals and other related treatments.
- Take and process X-rays of patients’ teeth and gums.
- Effectively use and maintain dental instruments during procedures.
Hygiene and Sterilization:
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, sterilizing dental equipment and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
- Manage and monitor infection control practices according to the latest industry standards.
Communication Skills:
- Effectively communicate with patients, explaining procedures and addressing their concerns to ensure a positive experience.
- Provide clear instructions and post-treatment care information to patients.
- Assist in basic front desk duties.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a dental assistant, ideally in an endodontic or specialty dental practice.
- Education: At least a Secondary School or "O" level qualification in any field.
- Specialized Skills: Previous experience in a healthcare or dental setting is a plus, especially in an endodontic or specialized dental practice.
- Preferred Candidate Profile: Non-executive role specializing in healthcare, preferably with a focus on dental specialties.
