Role Overview:

The Senior Technical Manager in the printing industry oversees technical operations, ensuring efficient production processes, quality standards, and adherence to safety regulations. They lead teams, manage projects, and drive continuous improvements in printing technology.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership:Oversee daily printing operations and workflow.
   Ensure production targets are met on time and within quality standards.
   
2. Technical Oversight:Maintain and troubleshoot printing machinery (offset, digital, flexographic, etc.).
   Implement and optimize printing processes for efficiency.
   
3. Team Management:Supervise and train technical staff, ensuring adherence to best practices.
   Conduct performance reviews and address skill gaps.
   
4. Quality Control:Monitor production to ensure output meets customer specifications and industry standards.
   Develop quality assurance protocols and inspection procedures.
   
5. Project Management:Lead technical projects, such as new equipment installations or process upgrades.
   Manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
   
6. Innovation and Improvement:Research and implement new printing technologies.
   Streamline workflows and reduce costs through process improvements.
   
7. Safety and Compliance:Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
   Conduct risk assessments and safety training sessions.
   

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Degree in Printing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 8+ years in printing operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in printing processes (digital, offset, screen, or flexo printing).
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of color management systems and prepress software.
• Familiarity with industry standards like ISO 12647 (print quality).
