Job Description
Manage the Flat Glass Business in the Asia Pacific region and other regions
Develop and implement sales strategies in target markets and lead department heads in executing them
Give direction and set specific objective to be achieved.
Plan and execute capacity allocation of products in the Asia Pacific region in collaboration with suppliers.
Establish differentiation of business by products, sales & marketing and services (especially for value added products) to cater to specific market needs.
Monitor and analyse SEA trends, improvise strategies to ensure targets are met.
Formulate and implement business activities (eg. Sales, Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing, Logistics, People Management) in the Asia Pacific region and other regions based on Headquarters’ business direction.
Lead and monitor the team across various locations. Foster a culture of continuous improvement
Prepare monthly management reports for Japan Headquarters
Establish annual budgets and monitor income and expenses
Negotiate price and volume with suppliers and customers.
Ensure that the above activities and systems comply with Japan Headquarters’ requirements
Job Requirements
Fluent in Japanese (Level N1) to communicate with Japan Headquarters and other overseas offices
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related fields
At least 15 years of regional managerial experience, such as in Sales, Marketing and Project Management, Manufacturing in the Glass Business
At least 2 years of experience in a top management position
Deep understanding of and experience in strategy formulation, policy deployment and management systems (eg. Sales, Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing, Logistics, Accounting and Organizational)
Extensive knowledge of Glass markets, key players, competitors, business models, products and technology
Broad understanding of business trends and technical requirements of different countries
Considerable knowledge of high value added Glass products and their markets
Company & Project Management skills
Diversified regional network of manufacturers and customers
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable with interacting with people of diverse cultural backgrounds
Strong analytical, organising, negotiation, project & team management and supervisory skills
