As a Strategic Account Manager, you will be the main contact between our accommodation partners and Agoda, with the responsibility of nurturing the relationship with our key supply partners and driving mutual growth. Agoda is looking for an experienced sales professional with commercial acumen to drive our Agoda Media Solutions team on a global scale. Agoda Media Solutions (AMS) helps to bridge the marketing needs of partners to target active travelers on and off Agoda channels. As an Associate Manager/Manager, Business Development – Agoda Media Solutions, your main role is to drive our Agoda Media Solutions team on a global scale to deliver on KPIs and goals for the company. You will work closely with the local BD teams around the world and guide them in their pipeline development, pitches, commercial projects and optimization for the business. It is also essential for you to understand data and are able to identify gaps and opportunities to help the teams around the world optimize their performance. This role will enable you to understand the detailed commercial partnerships we have with our property partners with an end to end overview of performance. You will also be expected to work closely and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders within the company to help grow the business. A successful candidate will bring strong business development experience with solid analytical skills and a proven track record of successful implementation of go-to-market strategies.

In this Role, you’ll get to:

Business Development & Partner Management

• Drive business development efforts by prospecting and identifying new business opportunities from end to end
• Take ownership of the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to contract negotiation and closing
• Explore and provide feedback to stimulate additional buy-ins from partners in participating in Partner Advertising Programs
• Evaluate the effectiveness of Partner Advertising Programs for participating partners
• Responsible for managing the program through internal tools to maintain a healthy portfolio and pipeline
• Identify and recommend future opportunities to enhance program performance in the market in line with company strategy
• Collaborate with the central project team to develop new initiatives within the programs
• Work with account managers to develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within accommodation partners
• Assist in clarifying points in program contracts and ensure full compliance with Partner Program policy

Business Analysis & Target Management

• Train local teams on new projects, processes, and workflows
• Provide a central project team with regular updates and portfolio analysis
• Prepare presentations or reports describing progress toward the program goals
• Join and conduct weekly meetings where updates are shared with the rest of the market management team
• Conduct daily monitoring activities to maximize our program business potential

What you'll Need to Succeed:

• Fluency in English (verbal & written)
• Strong numerical & analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to create easy to understand data visualization
• Excellent understanding of fintech ability to accelerate business through fintech strategy
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Digital Media, Advertising ecosystem (agency, publisher)
• Strong experience in Business to Business negotiations and sales pipeline management.
• Strong partner management skills – past success in influencing both internal & external stakeholders
• Ability to successfully communicate proposals to potential partners
• Excellent commercial judgment
• Ability to anticipate & proactively manage potential partners’ requests
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Willingness for extensive travel up to 50% minimum

The Opportunity

We are looking for ambitious and agile data scientists that would like to seize the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging productive machine learning and big data platforms worldwide, processing some 600B events every day and making some 5B predictions.

As part of the Data Science and Machine Learning (AI/ML) team you will be exposed to real-world challenges such as: dynamic pricing, predicting customer intents in real time, ranking search results to maximize lifetime value, classifying and deep learning content and personalization signals from unstructured data such as images and text, making personalized recommendations, innovating algorithm-supported promotions and products for supply partners, discovering insights from big data, and innovating the user experience. To tackle these challenges, you will have the opportunity to work on one of the world's largest ML infrastructure employing dozens of GPUs working in parallel, 30K+ CPU cores and 150TB of memory.

In This Role, You’ll Get to

• Design, code, experiment and implement models and algorithms to maximize customer experience, supply side value, business outcomes, and infrastructure readiness.
• Mine a big data of hundreds of millions of customers and more than 600M daily user generated events, supplier and pricing data, and discover actionable insights to drive improvements and innovation.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• 4+ years hands-on data science experience.
• Excellent understanding of AI/ML/DL and Statistics, as well as coding proficiency using related open-source libraries and frameworks.
• Significant proficiency in SQL and languages like Python, PySpark and/or Scala.
• Can lead, work independently as well as play a key role in a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for working in a multicultural work environment.

It’s Great if You Have

• PhD or MSc in Computer Science / Operations Research / Statistics or other quantitative fields
• Experience in NLP, image processing and/or recommendation systems
• Hands on experience in data engineering, working with big data framework like Spark/Hadoop
• Experience in data science for e-commerce and/or OTA
