Job Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s finances, ensuring accurate financial reporting, handling day-to-day accounting tasks, supporting audits, managing tax filings, and assisting with other financial projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping:
- Record daily financial transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.).
- Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closing.
- Reconcile bank and financial accounts.
2. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Assist in generating management reports and financial analysis.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
3. Tax & Compliance:
- Assist with corporate tax filings, GST, and other tax-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations.
- Support audit preparation and liaise with auditors.
4. Payroll Support:
- Help process payroll and manage employee benefits and deductions.
5. Cash Flow & Payments:
- Monitor cash flow and ensure timely payments to vendors and other liabilities.
- Assist with treasury management tasks.
6. Other Ad-Hoc Tasks:
- Assist with special projects, financial analysis, and process improvements.
- Support and provide accounting assistance for other tasks as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/ACCA preferred).
· Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably with audit experience and SGX reporting.
Skills:
- Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Xero).
- Good understanding of financial statements, audits, and tax filings.
- Proficiency in Excel for financial reporting and analysis.
