The main objectives of this position are to support the management of multi-asset portfolios and various investment initiatives.

The Analyst helps support management of multi-asset portfolios that invest across public assets/geographic regions/sectors/factors/currencies. The Analyst is expected to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis, and translate these into implementable investment strategies.

The Analyst will collaborate with other professionals in AIAIM as well as AIA Group to achieve the position’s objectives. The role requires good communication and collaboration with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support Portfolio Manager(s) in management of multi-asset portfolios in accordance with investment mandate, including implementation of TAA overlays
• Enhance existing investment chart pack by incorporating insightful indicators that can update stakeholders of key developments across various financial markets
• Perform quantitative (e.g. backtests of investment strategies, monte carlo simulation) and qualitative analysis to support idea generation, portfolio construction and risk management
• Work closely with colleagues in Middle Office and Operations to enhance trading processes, portfolio risk monitoring and performance attribution of multi-asset portfolios
• Prepare presentation materials that effectively explains investment strategy and performance drivers to stakeholders

Requirements

• Ideal candidate would have around 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in multi-asset role
• Excellent programming (e.g. Python) and quantitative skills (e.g. multi-asset modelling, time series analysis)
• Familiarity with Bloomberg is preferred
• Well versed in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint)
• Team player with strong work ethic
• Excellent interpersonal, engagement and presentation skills
• Proactive with high level of motivation and able to adhere to tight deadlines
• Bachelor or higher degree
• Professional qualification such as CFA will be viewed favorably

Join us as Private Credit Analyst at AIA Investment Management!

The position reports to the Head of Private Credit and assists the investment team in conducting fund research and due diligence of Private Credit investments and supports the team in monitoring existing investments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed due diligence on new fund investments by researching investment documentation, attending fund manager meetings, and conducting desk research.
• Enhance and prepare investment evaluation reports for new investments.
• Prepare pre-investment clearance in line with internal investment process and compliance requirements.
• Support or conduct the credit analysis of co-investment opportunities.
• Run quantitative modelling of return profiles, review external model assumptions, and conduct scenario analysis on model assumptions.
• Support the monitoring of existing investments, analyze emerging investment risk, and perform risk management analysis based on aggregate exposures.
• Provide investment information and support the preparation of client portfolio reviews.
• Coordinate and review reports prepared by internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist other team members with ad-hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of working experience in investment related functions.
• University degree in business, finance, economics or related fields, CFA preferred.
• Experience in analyzing investments in Private Assets such as Private Credit is preferred.
• Advanced quantitative and analytical skills. Experienced user of Excel required. Knowledge of Bloomberg and Python is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure with high accuracy and promptness.
• Team orientated, dedicated and open-minded working attitude.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
