Our client is a globally recognized, French-headquartered leader in the auto-ID, tag, and label industries. Responsibilities:
Finance
- Supervise daily financial and accounting operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage, review, and lead the month-end closing process.
- Ensure timely submission of monthly and annual financial reports to the Head Office and local management.
- Analyse financial performance, identifying and addressing variances between financial plans and actual results.
- Prepare annual financial statements for audit and statutory reporting, liaise with auditors, and calculate estimated annual income tax for year-end closing.
- Oversee quarterly GST filings and annual returns to IRAS.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring optimal liquidity.
- Implement effective debt management practices, including setting credit limits, terms, and closely tracking collections.
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads.
- Act as the primary contact for Head Office, auditors, tax agents, the Company Secretary, and local authorities on finance, legal, insurance, tax, and regulatory matters.
- Ensure compliance with accounting and tax standards, as well as international trade regulations, including import/export documentation and sanctions screening.
HR and Administration
- Lead HR communications, including updates on policies, training materials, and employee announcements.
- Oversee office administration, including supplies management, facilities maintenance, and coordination of office events.
Management and Leadership
- Activity Management: Monitor and manage KPIs, seek process improvements, facilitate inter-departmental collaboration, and deliver quality outcomes.
- People Management: Recruit, manage, and support a diverse team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment while ensuring alignment with company policies and standards.
- Leadership: Provide clear direction and purpose, develop team skills, act with integrity, assess team dynamics, embrace change, and communicate effectively.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong Expertise in Manufacturing Finance and Costing: Demonstrated experience in manufacturing finance, with in-depth knowledge of manufacturing costing processes such as cost analysis, budgeting, and financial optimization within manufacturing operations.
- Solid understanding of Financial Reporting Standards (FRSs), including accounting and disclosure requirements.
- Good understanding of the Singapore Employment Act.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and SAGE Payroll software.
- Willing to travel and work at Changi North.
