The main role of the Market Analyst & Product Marketing position is to identify and master the key drivers & business opportunities of the regional helicopter civil, para-public and military markets so as to develop the market in collaboration with the Sales Organization, elaborate and contribute to capture plans in Asia Pacific countries. In this role, he/she is the technical & product expert and is responsible for product & market understanding, supporting case & competitiveness studies.
He/she will primarily be measured by his/her knowledge of the regional helicopter market as well as achievement in elaborating sound promotional and capture plans supporting new businesses growth.
This role reports to the Head of Strategy & Marketing - Asia Pacific.
In cooperation with Sales and Operations organizations and his/her department peers, the responsibilities are:
1. Market Analysis & Forecasts
- Monitors, consolidates and keeps up-to-date regional fleet database and market share (bookings & backlog) information in collaboration with central Market Analysts and regional Sales Managers
- Researches markets, fleets and identifies past present and future trends, markets drivers per customer segments, supporting the building of Regional and countries short and mid-term booking targets for Helicopters sales.
- Analyzes, forecasts and maps the size of new business opportunities in the short (1 - 2 Y) to medium term (5 Y) in collaboration with the Sales Organization.
- Maps the Regional Helicopters & Support & Services market with respect to competition, distributorships maintenance service centers, industrial partners.
- Collects, monitors and analyzes data and any other relevant information, to understand the market requirement, competitors, development and trends and proactively propose new opportunities for market penetration and growth.
2. Product Marketing
- Leveraging on technical knowledge, utilizing product, market and fleet data, through competitiveness studies, contributes proactively to identify targets, appropriate channels to market AH (Airbus Helicopters) Helicopters whether on the civil, para-public or military markets through
- Establishes, in collaboration with the Sale organization, dedicated capture plans to nurture a viable pipeline of new business.
- Identifies and contributes to the development of new approaches and offerings targeting helicopters sales development (e.g. Trade-In, financing and leasing solutions, etc )
- Develops & maintains commercial & analysis tools / enablers in coordination within region, AH and external partners, to promote AH helicopters offering.
- Contributes to the elaboration of the APAC Strategy & Marketing plan
- Relays, in the region and adapts whenever necessary, for local implementation the market strategy approaches elaborated at HQ level.
3. General:
- Develops his/her network within Airbus Helicopters and within the markets under his/her responsibility
- Becomes the “Green Belt” / “referee” knowledgeable on the regional Helicopter market
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering, or related
- English fluency; fluency in another regional language is a plus to be able to liaise with regional stakeholders
- At least 3 to 7 years of working experience in the field of Aeronautics or Industrial Marketing / market analysis
- Previous working experience in aviation and helicopters industry would be a strong advantage
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
- Appetite for technical matters, good project management skills
- Good knowledge and proficient in relevant IT programs, with high proficiency in Excel/ Google Sheets and preferably programming language.
